Lamborghini reveals its fastest and most powerful car ever: the 1,065hp Revuelto SV

It was only a matter of time before an SV version of the Lamborghini Revuelto came along, but how does it compare to the Ferrari 849 Testerossa? News editor Jamie Edkins finds out.
This is the new Lamborghini Revuelto SV, and any Italian supercar fan could’ve seen this coming from a mile away.
The SV (Super Veloce, translating to Super Fast) badge has been applied to V12 Lambos as far back as the Miura from the 1970s, and it essentially denotes a lighter, more powerful and faster version of the band’s flagship.
For the Revuelto, this means an uprated hybrid system for extra power, aerodynamic upgrades to increase downforce and improve handling and suspension components from the world of racing.

New Lamborghini Revuelto SV: engine and performance
The Lamborghini Revuelto SV’s biggest rival is the Ferrari 849 Testerossa, so how does it compare?
Well, the SV still uses the same 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine as the standard Revuelto, and it still has three electric motors as well – two on the front axle, and one between the engine and gearbox.
However, extra power comes courtesy of an improved hybrid battery. While the engine still puts out 825hp, the hybrid system now adds 240hp. That’s 50hp more than the standard car, and ups the total output to 1,065hp.
It’s also 15hp more than the Ferrari 849 Testerossa, but the prancing horse still just about beats the Lambo from 0-62mph. The Revuelto SV will complete the sprint in 2.4 seconds, whereas the Ferrari takes 2.3 seconds.
Torque has also been increased, going from 1,062Nm to 1,425Nm, and the SV has a clever torque vectoring system to maximise grip through the corners. This, paired with the uprated adjustable dampers, should make this car handle even better than the standard Revuelto.
That’s a minuscule difference though, and when we inevitably get these two cars together for a Carwow drag race it’s anyone’s guess as to which would win.
New Lamborghini Revuelto SV: design and aerodynamics
Adding an SV badge doesn’t just up the power of the Revuelto, it makes it look even more bonkers than before. The styling add-ons aren’t just for showing off though, they also have aerodynamic benefits.
That massive rear wing is there to push the rear wheels into the tarmac, and the front splitter has been redesigned to direct air around the car as efficiently as possible. The result is 80% more downforce than the standard Revuelto.
But that doesn’t matter when you’re cruising around Knightsbridge at 9mph. What does matter is how many heads you’ll turn – and there are few things more head-turning than a big Lambo with a massive wing and an SV decal on the side.
New Lamborghini Revuelto: interior changes
There are some pretty significant changes to the interior of the new Lamborghini Revuelto SV, most notably the new seats. They’re much more body-hugging than the ones in the standard car, and the carbon fibre shell makes them lighter as well.
There are also carbon fibre door cards and centre console, and you can choose between 12 different leather colours.
New Lamborghini Revuelto SV: how much will it cost?
The Lamborghini Revuelto SV will be limited to 1,963 units worldwide, and you can expect them to cost a fair bit more than the standard Revuelto. That car costs around £450,000, so you can expect the SV to top half-a-million pounds – with plenty of scope to up that figure once you start poking around the options book.
