The DS 3 supermini and DS 3 Cabriolet is now offered as a new limited edition model – the Givenchy Le MakeUp edition. This chic city slicker is aimed squarely at fashion-conscious buyers and gets a few choice cosmetic enhancements to mark it out from a regular model.
The DS 3 Givenchy Le MakeUp marks a tie-up between DS and the French luxury clothing and cosmetics brand and is designed primarily – according to DS – to “meet the expectations of many modern day women”. It’s not surprising DS has targeted female buyers – they account for more than half of all DS 3 sales in the UK.
The Givenchy model is based on Elegance trim and is available in both three-door hatchback and Cabriolet body styles. The bodywork is treated to a unique ‘Opaline White’ paint finish and features Givenchy badging on the door pillars. A set of 17-inch alloy wheels and eye-catching LED and xenon headlights are also equipped as standard.
Inside, the dashboard is finished in rose pink, while the seats are trimmed in black leather. A bespoke Givenchy Le MakeUp kit is stored in the centre armrest including lipstick, mascara, face powder and nail polish that matches the car’s ‘Whisper Purple’ roof and alloy wheel centre caps. The vanity mirrors even feature crisp LED lighting to provide clear illumination for applying it all. In the interests of both safety and proper makeup application, we strongly recommend only using the kit while stationary.
Prices and release date
Prices for the Givenchy Le Makeup are from £19,395 for the hatchback and £21,695 for Cabriolet models. Just 500 will be made available in the UK, and order books are due to open in June 2016.
