New Mazda CX-60 price and specs

The new Mazda CX-60 is launching with three trim levels: Exclusive-Line, Homura and Takumi. Base models will set you back £43,950.

Mazda CX-60 Exclusive-Line

As standard, the new Mazda CX-60 is generously equipped. You get 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, keyless entry and a reversing camera. The Exclusive-Line will set you back from £43,950.

Mazda CX-60 Homura

Stepping up to the Homura model will cost you from £46,700. For this, you get 20-inch alloy wheels, a honeycomb front grille, interior ambient lighting, ventilated seats, heated rear seats and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. The seats and steering wheel are also electrically adjustable and you can opt for a panoramic sunroof for an extra £1,000.

Mazda CX-60 Takumi

Top-of-the-range Takumi models of the CX-60 get 20-inch machined alloy wheels, chrome trim around the windows, white Napa leather seats and white Maple wood on the dashboard. You’ll have to splash out from £48,050 if you want a Takumi, and the panoramic sunroof is still a £1,000 option.

New Mazda CX-60 design

The new Mazda CX-60 is instantly recognisable as a Mazda thanks to its bold creases and large front grille.

It’s a smart-looking design. Up-front, there are some slim LED headlights, along with a gloss black honeycomb grille surrounded in chrome.

Looking down the sides, you get a choice of 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels. It has a muscular stance as well, thanks to the flared wheel arches. It’s no sports car, but it looks more muscular than your average boxy SUV.

The rear end looks very similar to the smaller Mazda CX-5. This means some thin LED lights and a sporty looking bumper.

New Mazda CX-60 engines and driving

There’s a selection of engines available with the new Mazda CX-60, including Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid engine.

This combines a 2.5-litre petrol engine with a 136hp electric motor and an 18kWh battery to produce 327hp and 500Nm of torque.

This model has 37 miles of pure electric range and can be fully charged from empty in as little as four hours.

You can also choose between a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine or a 3.3-litre straight-six diesel.

Both of these engines are available with mild-hybrid technology, which uses a small battery to boost efficiency and fuel economy.

New Mazda CX-60 interior and infotainment

The interior of the new Mazda CX-60 takes a lot of design cues from other cars in the Mazda range. This means you get smart looking, clutter-free cabin, whilst still retaining physical buttons for the basic controls.

There are plenty of shiny trims around the place to liven things up, and overall it’s a classy-looking cabin. Being a Mazda you also know that the materials will be high quality and it should feel solidly built.

As standard, you get a 12-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and cruise control. As you move up the range features such as keyless entry and start, electrically adjustable seats and heated seats are added. You’ll have to step up to the top-spec Takumi model if you want the white Nappa leather seats shown above.

Higher spec models get Mazda’s new Driver Personalisation System. This uses face recognition to identify who is driving the car and set up the seat, head-up-display and mirrors accordingly.
