Two trust German brands top the list for most in-demand brands among dealers in Birmingham, according to new research from Carwow’s Sell My Car platform.
Drivers in Birmingham are turning to trusted German brands, as new research from Carwow, the online car-changing marketplace, reveals that BMW and Audi top the list of in-demand brands among dealers in Birmingham on its Sell My Car platform.
In Birmingham, 13% of used cars that receive an offer to buy are BMW, with Audi a close second at 12%. If you own one of these cars, there’s strong buyer interest with car dealers from all over the UK actively looking to purchase quality cars – creating a prime opportunity for private sellers.
The insights come from Carwow’s Sell My Car service, which analysed thousands of listings submitted by Birmingham-based sellers. Through the platform, drivers can list their cars and receive bids from over 5,500 trusted dealers nationwide in daily online auctions.
The findings point to a strong preference in Birmingham for cars that strike a balance between everyday practicality and a touch of premium appeal – cars that suit both city driving and longer journeys, while offering reliability, comfort, and good resale value.
And it’s not just BMW topping the list – Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Ford are amongst the city’s favourite makes, while favourite models like the Ford Fiesta and Range Rover are popular too.
The used car makes and models getting the most offers from dealers in Birmingham:
- Ford Fiesta, petrol, blue
- BMW X3 M Competition, petrol, grey
- Range Rover, diesel, grey
- Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon, diesel, black
- BMW 1 Series, petrol, black
When it comes to car colour, black remains the most frequently listed in the region – followed closely by grey and blue, showing a strong preference for classic, understated shades.
