The 10 most popular new cars in November 2025 have been revealed, and despite only being around for a year or so the Jaecoo 7 has made the cut. The Ford Puma still sits at the top of the list though, and it’s on track to be 2025’s best selling car.

Data from the SMMT shows that new car sales are down 1.6% in November 2025 compared to 2024, with a total of 151,154 registrations. Sales of electric cars did creep up by 3.6% though, despite the news that EVs would face a pay-per-mile charge from 2028 in the Autumn Budget, and petrol and diesel models continue to drop in popularity.

Diesel car registrations were down 24% compared to November 2024, and petrol models dropped by almost 6%.

The SMMT figures also show us the most popular models of November, and the Jaecoo 7 has stayed in the top 10 for the second month running. Here are the best-selling cars of November 2025.

1. Ford Puma – 4,859 sold

The Puma has held the top spot in the sales charts for pretty much every month this year so far, and it looks likely that it’ll be 2025’s most-popular car overall. This little SUV not only looks great, it’s a hoot to drive as well.

The rear seats may be a bit cramped, and the interior feels a bit cheap in places, but the Puma has an enormous boot for its size and you get loads of standard equipment.

2. Kia Sportage – 3,649 sold

It’s easy to see why the Kia Sportage is so popular – it’s a bit of a jack of all trades. It’s spacious with a big boot, well-equipped and you can get it with a wide range of efficient hybrid engines.

It’s not the most exciting thing to drive, and it’s a bit stiff over bumps as well. Look past these niggles and you have a great-value family car with an impressive seven-year warranty.

3. Nissan Qashqai – 3,004 sold

If it’s comfort you’re after, the Nissan Qashqai is a better bet than the Sportage. It glides over bumps in the road, and the latest e-Power hybrid version is also smooth and efficient.

The boot is smaller than the Kia’s though, and it’s a shame that there’s no plug-in hybrid option on offer. You do get shedloads of standard kit though, and the interior is nicely built.

4. Nissan Juke – 2,835 sold

Love it or loathe it, the Nissan Juke is certainly distinctive. Plenty of buyers were smitten with its quirky styling in November, and the generous list of safety kit doesn’t hurt either.

You’ll have to really like the looks to forgive the cramped rear seats, uncomfortable suspension and outdated infotainment system, but at least it’s cheap to buy. You can also have it in bright yellow, if that helps.

5. Volkswagen T-Roc – 2,768 sold

The Volkswagen T-Roc is being replaced by an all-new version next year, so dealers are offering great prices on the outgoing model to shift them off the forecourts. It’s still a great buy though thanks to a big boot, spacious interior and easy-to-use controls.

It is starting to look a bit dated now, and the suspension is on the firm side. These are both issues which have been solved on the new car, but don’t let it put you off this one if you find a great deal.

6. Volkswagen Golf – 2,742 sold

The Oxford English Dictionary could probably replace its definition of the word car with a picture of a Volkswagen Golf, because realistically it’s the only car most people will ever need.

It’s comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, fuel-efficient and well-made inside. The Golf may not be the most exciting thing to drive, unless you go for the hot GTI or R models, but it’s a fantastic all-rounder.

7. Vauxhall Corsa – 2,564 sold

Traditional small hatchbacks may not be as popular as they were a few years ago, but the Vauxhall Corsa is still a hit with buyers thanks to its keen pricing, sensible equipment levels and comfy suspension.

It may be pretty dull thanks to a drab interior, and the rear seats aren’t all that spacious, but the Corsa looks smart on the outside and it’s available with either petrol or electric power.

8. Jaecoo 7 – 2,404 sold

Jaecoo has only been around in the UK for just over a year, but the Jaecoo 7 is already one of the country’s most-popular cars. What makes it such a hit with buyers? Value for money, mostly.

For around £30,000 you get chunky, Range Rover-like styling, loads of kit, a well-made interior and decent practicality. It may not be as nice to drive as a Volkswagen Tiguan, but it’s easy to forgive this when you realise it costs around the same as a basic Golf.

9. Mini Cooper – 2,124 sold

Ah the Mini – what an iconic little car. It’s a funky-looking thing with an equally cool interior, and on a twisty road it’s bound to put a smile on your face thanks to the sharp steering and sporty suspension.

The trade off is a bit of a jiggly ride over rough surfaces, and the Mini isn’t very practical thanks to the tiny boot and cramped rear seats, but if you and your partner are looking for a characterful little runaround.

10. Audi A3 – 2,114 sold

Audi A3

Sneaking in at number 10 we have the Audi A3. This posh hatchback has a lot going for it, including a lovely interior, intuitive tech and smart styling.

It’s not as fun to drive as a BMW 1 Series, and it’s a bit pricey compared to alternatives like the Volkswagen Golf and Mercedes A-Class, but the A3 is solid, comfortable and pretty roomy inside.
