It echoes the retro vibes of the Renault 5, but it’s more family-friendly
If you like the look of the best-selling Renault 5 but are looking for something a bit more practical, then the Renault 4 is definitely worth considering. It has a similar interior design to the 5, but adds a big tailgate and a super-practical boot with up to 375 litres of space, as well as some additional passenger space.
It looks super cool thanks to its boxy dimensions and flat front with eye-catching headlights. It’s just as cool inside, too, with a blocky dashboard design that’s multi-layered with different materials. You also get an excellent infotainment system, which is quick to respond to your touch and easy to use.
The Renault 4 has a range of up to 247 miles, which is more than enough for most town driving. We saw 4.1 miles per kWh during our time with the car. It has enough oomph for the motorway and is quiet at cruising speeds, while in town it’s comfortable over bumps. It’s less impressive on twisty country roads, though.
