Are you into high-end performance cars with eye-watering price tags? You’re not alone. Here are five of the most expensive cars sold on Carwow last month, plus what our reviews team has to say about them.

Remember, you can sell your car, right here on Carwow. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

1. Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 is one of the most iconic sports cars on the planet – and two 911s claimed the top two spots for the most expensive car sold on Carwow last month, selling for a whopping £239,178 and £165,149, respectively. It’s a brilliant, everyday sports car that’s quick, fun, and surprisingly practical, and there’s a good reason why two sold for the prices they did.

The engine sits behind you, and the hybrid system boosts power to 541hp and 670Nm of torque, giving the 911 extra muscle without hurting fuel economy. You can still get a non-hybrid Carrera, which also has a power bump and the same styling.

It’s practical enough for two who travel fairly light, with the front boot offering just enough space for a couple of weekend bags. But really, you buy a 911 because it’s a joy to drive: sharp steering, incredible grip, and loads of feedback make it one of the best sports cars around, whether you’re in the city or out on open roads.

2. Mercedes-Benz G-Class

In July, Carwow helped someone snap up this classic off-roader for £153,599.

The Mercedes G-Class is a luxury SUV that can cruise around in total comfort but also handle pretty much any off-road adventure you throw at it. It’s got that classic, old-school vibe with its boxy shape, round headlights, and big windows.

Inside, there’s loads of space for five people, and even tall friends will have plenty of head- and legroom in the back. The boot’s massive too, with 667 litres of space, although the Land Rover Defender 110 and Porsche Cayenne do offer a bit more room.

Even though it’s built to handle tough terrain, the G-Class is super comfy in the city. The suspension has adaptive damping, so it soaks up bumps nicely, even when you’re just cruising at low speeds. That said, it’s a big, chunky thing, so squeezing into tight streets or parking spots can be a bit of a mission.

3. Aston Martin Vantage

The Aston Martin Vantage is so good we gave it ‘Highly Commended’ in the Pleasure of Driving category at the 2025 Carwow Car of the Year Awards. So, there’s no surprise that one sold for £150,000 in July.

Inside, the Aston Martin Vantage has a sleek dashboard with Aston’s own tech and controls. The sports seats are comfy, and there’s plenty of room, so you don’t have to be built like a race car driver to get comfortable.

That said, you might feel like a race car driver once you hit the gas. The Vantage packs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that cranks out a huge 665hp, more than a Porsche 911 Turbo S or even a Ferrari Roma. That means it absolutely flies, going from 0 to 62mph in just 3.5 seconds and topping out at 202mph.

But it’s on twisty country roads where the Vantage really shines. Even when you’re just cruising, the sharp steering and punchy engine make it feel special. Hit the throttle – especially with the exhaust in ‘loud’ mode – and it launches forward with serious speed and a whole lot of drama.

4. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Coupe

Rounding up our list for this month is the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Coupe, which is great fun to drive and surprisingly practical for a sports car. One recently sold on Carwow for £146,151, and for good reason.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Coupe is a seriously cool supercar with stunning looks and a beast of a V8 under the hood. The inside’s just as impressive, it’s full of neat details such as fancy stitching and those turbine-style air vents that light up red when you crank the heat. The seats are super comfy too, and you can sit nice and low for that proper sporty vibe.

It’s also a blast to drive. Under that long hood is a big V8 that growls, crackles, and sounds amazing. The GT 63 puts out 585hp, but the 63 S takes it up a notch with an electric motor that cranks things up to a wild 816hp.

What’s really cool, though, is how easy it is to drive day-to-day. The steering has a bit of weight to it but doesn’t feel heavy, and you get great visibility all around. The suspension keeps things feeling sporty and responsive, but it also smooths out bumps pretty well at lower speeds, so you’re not giving up much comfort just to enjoy the performance.
