If high-octane luxury, blistering speed, and eye-watering price tags get your pulse racing, you’re in the right place. Last month, Carwow saw some of the most extravagant cars change hands – and our reviews team has the inside scoop on what makes them truly extraordinary.

Did you know you can sell your car right here on Carwow? We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

1. Porsche 911

The first car to top our list is one of the most iconic sports cars on the planet – and one sold on Carwow in September for £245,500. This is especially impressive seeing as a top-spec version of a brand-new 911 has an RRP of £192,435.

The Porsche 911 is a brilliant, everyday sports car that’s quick, fun, and surprisingly practical, and there’s a good reason why two sold for the prices they did. The engine sits behind you, and the hybrid system boosts power to 541hp and 670Nm of torque, giving the 911 extra muscle without hurting fuel economy. You can still get a non-hybrid Carrera, which also has a power bump and the same styling.

It’s practical enough for two who travel fairly light, with the front boot offering just enough space for a couple of weekend bags. But really, you buy a 911 because it’s a joy to drive: sharp steering, incredible grip, and loads of feedback make it one of the best sports cars around, whether you’re in the city or out on open roads.

One 911 was not enough. Another one sold on the Sell My Car platform in September for £152,059, and took around 5 days to sell since being uploaded to our site.

2. Lamborghini Huracan

This supercar with eye-popping looks and a fantastic engine sold through Carwow last month for £188,000.

Indeed, the Lamborghini Huracan immediately catches the eye, whether in the understated Tecnica or Evo, or the wild STO or Sterrato. Its mid-mounted 5.2-litre V10 engine produces 610-640hp, sending the car from 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds, with most models topping 200mph.

Inside, the Huracan is driver-focused: supportive sports seats, a clear cockpit, and a smooth automatic gearbox make it manageable at lower speeds, while features such as a nose lift help navigate everyday obstacles.

On the road, it’s a thrill. The steering is precise and communicative, the brakes feel more than capable, and the raw V10 power makes cornering exhilarating. Even with a decade-old design, the Huracan remains a benchmark for performance and style.

3. Rolls-Royce Dawn

Speed, comfort and ever-so luxurious, this car has everything you’d want in a soft-top cruiser. It’s no wonder one sold for £170,000 in September through Carwow.

The Rolls-Royce Dawn combines the brand’s signature luxury, comfort, and power with top-down refinement. Bold and elegant, the Black Badge we tested adds dramatic black trim, while inside, plush leather and high-quality finishes make every journey effortless – though the infotainment is dated and the boot is just 295 litres.

Under the bonnet, a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 pushes 571hp (601hp in the Black Badge), hitting 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and 155mph top speed. The gearbox teams with the sat-nav for smooth, responsive driving, while the 5.3m body soaks up bumps and keeps cornering composed. Roof up or down, the cabin stays serene, making every journey effortless.

Packed with features such as adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled seats, LED headlights, a head-up display, a bespoke sound system, and advanced safety tech, the Dawn doesn’t just deliver a drive – it delivers an experience.
