  4. BMW 3 Series
  5. Vauxhall Astra

Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

1. Skoda Kodiaq

First up, we have the Skoda Kodiaq. This is a great example of a family SUV thanks to its clever, spacious interior, wide range of engine options and huge boot, which offers up to 910 litres of space. However, the plug-in hybrid isn’t available with seven seats, and some alternatives are more fun to drive.

You can currently get a top-spec Laurin + Klement version of the Kodiaq with £9,882 off, at the time of writing. This comes with a 193hp 2.0-litre diesel engine, four-wheel drive and the following features:

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • ChatGPT functionality
  • Wireless charging with cooling function
  • Remote park assist
  • Heated, ventilated and massage seats
  • 20-inch alloy wheels

2. Ford Puma Gen-E

The Ford Puma Gen-E is the electric version of the UK’s best-selling car. It has up to 251 miles of range on a single charge, is highly efficient around town, and has a practical interior with a huge boot offering up to 556 litres of space. That said, its efficiency drops off sharply on the motorway, and you’ll find some cheap-feeling interior trim.

You can get a top-spec Blue Cruise Edition of the Puma Gen-E with £7,486 off at the time of writing. This version comes with up to 251 miles of range on a single charge and features such as:

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • 12.0-inch touchscreen display
  • Wireless charger
  • Audio system with 10 speakers
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Hands-off active cruise control
  • Gloss black roof
  • 18-inch alloy wheels

3. Nissan X-Trail

Next up is the Nissan X-Trail. This rugged, handsome and plush seven-seater is spacious enough for five adults, has easy-to-use physical climate controls, and a quiet hybrid engine.. That said, the petrol engine model can be noisy at times and it has less boot space than alternatives.

Right now, at the time of writing, you can get an N-Trek trim of the X-Trail with savings of up to £8,050. This version comes with a 213hp 1.5-litre hybrid engine and the following features as standard:

  • Water-resistant seat upholstery
  • Heated front and rear seats
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen
  • Wireless phone charging
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • 360-degree parking camera
  • Powered tailgate
  • 18-inch alloy wheels

4. BMW 3 Series

There’s also currently a great deal on the BMW 3 Series. This saloon is the best-in-class to drive, has excellent screens in the cabin, and an incredibly practical boot. It’s a brilliant all-rounder, but the plug-in hybrid models lose lots of boot space and unfortunately there’s no more physical buttons for air-con.

You can get a top-spec version of the 3 Series with £9,617 off, at the time of writing. This is for the Black Edition with has a 392hp 3.0-litre petrol engine, four-wheel-drive, and features such as:

  • Heated front seats
  • Variable sport steering
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • 14.9-inch infotainment display
  • Bluetooth Wi-Fi interface
  • 48V mild hybrid technology
  • 19-inch alloy wheels

5. Vauxhall Astra

Last up is the Vauxhall Astra. This sensible yet stylish family hatchback comes with a wide range of engine options and a big boot up to 422 litres. However, we find the back seats to be a bit cramped, its self-charging hybrid version is noisy, and the interior is dull.

Currently, you can get a top-spec Ultimate version with £8,041 off, at the time of writing. This deal is for the 195hp 1.6-litre plug-in hybrid, which comes with the following features:

  • Alcantara suede seats
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Memory position function for the driver’s seat
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Dual zone electronic climate control
  • Heads-up driver’s display
  • 10-inch touchscreen display
  • Wireless phone charging
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
