Car changing is a big deal

The free, easy way to change your car online

Chery, Omoda and Jaecoo are all owned by the same parent company, and these three brands have a few new models launching in the UK soon. Here are some of the best for you to look forward to.

Chinese cars are taking the UK by storm, and three of the biggest brands are Jaecoo, Chery and Omoda. They’re all owned by Chery International, and between them they account for 7.1% of new car sales in 2026. To put that into perspective, Citroen, Peugeot and Vauxhall only make up 8.9% of sales in 2026, and those brands have been around for decades.

They also sell 24 different models between them, whereas Jaecoo, Chery and Omoda sell 10. That number is going to go up over the next year or so though, because there are some new models to come.

Here are all the new Jaecoo, Chery and Omoda models coming soon.

  • Jaecoo 3
  • New Chery Tiggo 7
  • Chery Tiggo 7 X
  • Omoda 4
  • Omoda X

Jaecoo 3

A new, entry-level Jaecoo 3 is in the pipeline, as reported by our sister brand Auto Express. It’ll be an alternative to cars like the Ford Puma and Skoda Epiq, with both electric and hybrid models on offer.

You can expect it to retain the mini Range Rover styling from the Jaecoo 5 and 7, as well as a starting price of around £20,000 when it arrives in 2027.

New Chery Tiggo 7

This is the new Chery Tiggo 7, and it’s the first existing model in the brand’s lineup to get an all-new version. It may look very similar to the current car, but it has a more boxy side profile and a revamped interior.

It has a larger central touchscreen than the outgoing Tiggo 7, as well as a cleaner dashboard design. A full reveal with UK specs is expected in 2027.

Chery Tiggo 7 X

Alongside the new Tiggo 7 we have the Tiggo 7 X, and you can think of it as a rugged alternative to its namesake. It has a more upright front end, chunky black cladding and off-road tyres, pointing towards its mud-plugging capabilities.

It’s unclear whether or not this car will come to the UK yet, but if it does then it’s likely to be in the second half of 2027 with a starting price of between £30,000 and £35,000.

Omoda 4

This is the Omoda 4, and it’s a sporty-looking alternative to the Chery Tiggo 4 and Ford Puma. It’ll launch in 2027 with a hybrid engine, likely to be the same 1.5-litre petrol unit you get in the Omoda 5, but an all-electric version will come along at a later date.

The design is much more aggressive-looking than any other Omoda model, and the interior is more sporty as well. It has carbon fibre-esque material on the centre console, as well as a Lamborghini-style red flap on the start button. We expect prices to begin at around £20,000.

Omoda X

The Omoda X is a rugged-looking concept car which could be an off-road alternative to the Jaecoo 7 and Kia Sportage. It features bold, angular styling, jacked-up suspension and chunky black cladding.

You also get infrared night-vision with thermal images, and it can pick up hazards from up to 90 metres away. A UK launch hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the production version will be revealed next year.
