With a special offer code, you can lop more than £3,000 off the price of a Citroen Ami if you finance it through the Citroen store. This means that, with a small deposit, an Ami can be on your driveway for less than £50 a month.

Save over £3,000 on a Citroen Ami
Don’t fancy putting down any money up front at all? It’s hardly any pricier – even on a short, 12-month contract you’ll only pay £69.99 a month. That’s a whole year of driving a Citroen Ami, for less than one monthly payment on some posh SUVs. For a small deposit of a few hundred pounds the payment drops to less than £50 a month – less than a monthly bus pass.
If you play around with the terms it gets even crazier. Pick a 36 month contract and up your deposit to the maximum of £1,815, and you’ll pay just £3.23 per month, less than a daily coffee.
All of these are PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) agreements, so there’s an optional final payment if you want to keep hold of your Citroen Ami at the end. Why should you consider a Citroen Ami (or not)?
Ah yes – that’s the real crunch. The Citroen Ami isn’t really a car, per se. It’s actually classified as a heavy quadricycle. This means that it’s really designed for urban environments only – it has a top speed of just 28mph.
While in some countries the Ami can be driven by children as young as 14, here in the UK you need to be 16 and hold a full AM moped licence, so that’s not really an advantage.
However, the Ami’s tiny dimensions, 46-mile range, surprisingly roomy interior and ease of charging (just a few hours from a regular plug socket) make it really useful – and a great deal of fun – to drive in urban environments. If you live and work in a city and have access to somewhere you can charge, the Ami might just be the thing to supercharge your commute.
