2025’S TOP 10 CARS AS VOTED BY YOU
1. Mercedes GLE Mk4 - 92.24%
The Mercedes GLE absolutely walked away with the win in Driver Power 2025, coming top of the table in six categories and being one of only two cars to crest 90% overall.
Some of its category wins included driving pleasure, safety attributes and overall quality, also scoring highly for its sat nav and touchscreen controls. The only outlier is economy and running costs, which scored poorly by comparison.
Owner quote: “The GLE’s luxurious interior, smooth ride, and advanced tech make it a joy to drive, but it's roomy enough for family and luggage.”
2. Vauxhall Grandland Mk8 - 90.55%
The Vauxhall Grandland snatched second place with a fantastic all-round performance – although its only category win was for servicing and reliability, it didn’t fall outside the top 10 in any category.
Owners also praised the interior and exterior design, rear seat space, boot space and touchscreen functionality.
Owner quote: “It is high off the ground, with plenty of room inside. Quiet and comfortable on long journeys, and the boot is amazing.”
3. Vauxhall Astra Mk8 - 89.97%
The Vauxhall Astra rounds out the podium spots after securing a top five spot in six categories, notably for its exterior design.
Other highlights include front seat comfort, an excellent infotainment system and overall quality. Owners also consider it good value for money.
Owner quote: “It is smooth, quiet, very comfortable, it has an impressive range of driver assistance technology and it looks stunning, even after three years and 50,000 miles."
4. Ford Kuga Mk3 - 88.69%
The Ford Kuga might have just missed out on the podium, but owners loved its family friendly features, scoring highly for safety, practicality and its interior.
Owners love to get behind the wheel, securing it 11th place for driving pleasure, and its infotainment system scored well, too. Buyers didn’t think it was particularly good value for money, though.
Owner quote: “Drives well, good looking and performing, loads of added extras, and I like the road holding and the power of the engine.”
5. Mercedes C-Class Mk5 - 88.31%
SUVs might top the sales charts but the classic saloon is well represented here thanks to the Mercedes C-Class – its quality highlighted by the fact owners praised its value for money, which is rare for a posh brand like this.
Other highlights include its interior practicality and child-friendly features, while owners also consider it to be comfortable to drive. Fuel economy and servicing costs were rated poorly, though.
Owner quote: “I like the luxurious interior and the smooth ride, the advanced safety features, the strong performance and the elegant design.”
6. Vauxhall Crossland Mk1 - 88.25%
Completing Vauxhall’s top 10 takeover is the Crossland, which topped the charts overall for its low running costs and insurance prices, coming second for servicing costs – making it the perfect car if you want to save money.
Boot space, reliability and child-friendly features also received high praise, but the safety systems were not so popular.
Owner quote: “My Vauxhalls have always been reliable, and this one is no exception. It’s very good quality, too.”
7. BMW 4 Series Mk2 - 88.19%
Perhaps unsurprisingly for a sporty-looking coupe, BMW 4 Series owners love the way the car drives, ranking it third overall for driving pleasure. They love how it looks inside, too.
The only poor performances are for economy and running costs. However, this is offset by high scores everywhere else; owners love the infotainment system and the overall quality of the car.
Owner quote: “I love how the infotainment system is intuitive and easy to use. Everything is pretty much one tap away, which makes driving so much more enjoyable.”
8. Citroen C5 Aircross Mk1 - 88.15%
The Citroen C5 Aircross is a fantastic family car, with interior storage and seat practicality rated very highly, as is overall quality.
But the highest scores were actually handed over to the way the C5 Aircross drives, ranking top for road handling and the way it handles bumps. Not only is it comfortable, but owners also praised its low insurance and servicing costs.
Owner quote: “My C5 Aircross looks great and is very practical, while also being more affordable to run than I expected.”
9. Dacia Duster Mk2 - 88.04%
Last year’s Driver Power winner has slipped in the 2025 rankings, but it’s still a strong performance for the Dacia Duster, which took top spot in the value category.
It also scored first place for boot space satisfaction, and very highly for general practicality, infotainment and running costs. It’s only really let down by the driving experience, which owners scored on the low side.
Owner quote: “Great value, cheap to buy and run, feels safe, good customer service at the garage. A lot of car for the price.”
10. BMW 2 Series Mk2 - 87.19%
It’s a strong year for BMW coupes as the 2 Series sneaks into the top 10 alongside the 4 Series thanks to having one of the highest ratings for driving pleasure.
It also scored highly for infotainment, particularly the sat nav, climate controls and audio, while practicality scores are respectable for a small, two-door car. Perhaps more surprising is how highly owners rated the 2 Series’ fuel economy and servicing costs.
Owner quote: “Style, performance, comfort and quality build, with innovation, elegance, and good value for money."
