Save over £11,300 on a Volkswagen ID4*

The Volkswagen ID4 is an all-electric SUV about the size of a Tiguan, offering family-friendly space with a more futuristic design. Power ranges from 170-340hp, with 222-347 miles of range, and higher trims add all-wheel drive. Its alternatives are the Tesla Model Y and Nissan Ariya, but the ID4 stands out with its practicality and broad choice of versions.

Inside, the ID4 is minimalist, with a 12.0-inch touchscreen and voice controls handling most functions, though usability and interior quality aren’t perfect. Comfort and space are also strong points, with generous rear seating and a 543-litre boot.

The Volkswagen ID4 starts at £36,995, but you can get it through Carwow from £33,720. The biggest savings are on the GTX Edition trim, with £11,342 off at the time of writing. This version offers up to 322 miles of range, 20-inch wheels, an all-round view camera system, a panoramic glass roof, and three-zone climate control.

Lease a Skoda Elroq from £294 per month*

The Skoda Elroq is a mid-size electric SUV that’s sleek and understated. It features slim headlights and a neat ‘Tech Deck’ grille that hides cameras and sensors, giving it a clean, futuristic look.

Inside, the cabin has a clutter-free design, with a swooping dashboard, large infotainment display, and optional denim-style or leatherette finishes. Comfortable seats, practical storage solutions, and a 470-litre boot make it ideal for daily family life.

Three battery options offer 232-356 miles of range, depending on the spec. The soft suspension and large tyres give you a quiet, comfortable ride on most roads, though handling in tight corners feels light. But overall, the Elroq is a practical, comfortable electric SUV that’s well-suited to both long journeys and everyday driving.

You can lease a Skoda Elroq SE from £294 per month (initial payment: £2,996.22) on a 48-month, 8,000-mile-per-year deal. With this, you get a 13.0-inch infotainment display, LED headlights, a rear-view camera, 19-inch wheels, keyless entry and a full suite of driver assistance features. Oh, and an umbrella in the front door.

Save over £5,800 on a Ford Puma Gen-E*

The Ford Puma Gen-E is a small electric SUV that looks almost identical to the regular Puma – except for a blanked-off grille, unique wheels, and a couple of bright new colours such as Electric Yellow.

Inside, it has a 168hp electric motor and a 43kWh battery, giving around 233 miles of range. It’s fun to drive, with sharp steering and a comfy ride around town, though motorway efficiency drops, so it’s really a city-friendly electric car.

The back seats fit adults, the boot is huge thanks to the underfloor Gigabox, and there’s even a small front compartment for your charging cable. All in all, the Puma Gen-E is a practical, fun, and easy-going electric SUV that is worth considering.

The Ford Puma Gen-E usually starts at £29,995, but you can get it through Carwow from £24,350. This biggest saving is on the Sound Edition model, with £5,861 off at the time of writing, which gives you 224 miles of range, a 12.0-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 360-degree camera.

Lease an Omoda E5 from £247 per month*

The Omoda E5 is an electric SUV from Chinese brand Omoda, offering an alternative to more familiar models such as the Volvo EX30, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Skoda Enyaq. While not the most striking on the outside, the E5 has a clean front end and sharp daytime running lights that stand out at night.

Inside, it feels more upmarket, with quality materials, a smart layout, and a twin-screen setup that’s bright and responsive. Ergonomically, it falls short: limited seat and steering adjustments, a large centre console, and cramped rear space make long drives less comfortable, and boot space is smaller than most SUV alternatives at 380 litres.

It offers 257 miles of range, decent efficiency, and there’s soft suspension that absorbs bumps well, though fast charging is slow and tyre noise rises at higher speeds. Cornering is stable but not thrilling, leaving alternatives feeling more satisfying to drive.

You can lease an Omoda E5 Noble from £247 per month (initial payment: £2,566.91) on a 48-month, 8,000-mile-per-year deal. It comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, a power sunroof, heated leather steering wheel, powered boot and two-zone climate control. You also get a 360-degree camera to make parking easier.

Save over £9,200 on a Peugeot E-308*

The Peugeot E-308 is a stylish electric hatchback that is pricier than many alternatives, but its quality and equipment justify the cost.

Its Allure trim comes well equipped with heated seats and steering wheel, 18-inch alloys, satellite navigation, a rear-view camera, and key safety tech. GT models add Alcantara-trimmed seats, aluminium accents, 3D instruments, and LED lighting, while the limited-run First Edition offers a distinctive interior.

On the road, the E-308 is comfortable and composed, though its 156hp motor is brisk rather than thrilling. The 54kWh battery offers up to 250 miles, with 20-80% rapid charging in 30 minutes and a full home charge in just over seven hours. It’s a refined and practical EV, even if it lacks the punch of some alternatives.

The Peugeot E-308 usually starts at £34,960, but you can get it through Carwow from £26,340, with £9,270 off the Allure trim. This version has up to 259 miles of range, 17-inch wheels, a 180-degree colour reversing camera, satellite navigation, and Peugeot i-Connect (a suite of connected services).
