1) Lamborghini Aventador

The Lamborghini Aventador is one of the wildest supercars money can buy. But that hasn’t stopped people from snapping them up, with one recently selling on Carwow for a whopping £178,000.

It looks like something Darth Vader would drive – and sounds even meaner. Under all that carbon fibre drama is some proper old-school muscle: a massive 6.5-litre V12 with no turbos, just 740hp of pure noise and power.

The gearbox isn’t fancy. It’s a robotised manual, so shifts are fast but a bit jerky at low speeds. Still, it’ll hit 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds, just like a McLaren 720S or Ferrari 812 Superfast. Four-wheel drive and fat tyres keep it glued to the road, even in the wet.

It’s not as intimidating as it looks, either, and the Audi-sourced tech is pretty user-friendly. And as for the drive, it’s rock solid. Great for a weekend blast, less so for a road trip.

2) Aston Martin DB12

In June, Carwow helped someone snap up this British beauty for £158,000.

The Aston Martin DB12 Volante is a big, luxurious convertible that’s just as happy cruising the motorway as it is tearing up a twisty road.

It looks sleek and wide, with sharp LED headlights, cool alloys, and a big grille. Inside, there’s an infotainment system, digital dials, and loads of soft leather. Some of the buttons are a bit fiddly, and a few bits feel cheaper than they should. But overall, it’s a lovely place to be.

Don’t expect loads of storage, though. The door bins are tiny, the boot gets even smaller with the roof down, and the back seats are best left for bags, not people.

Power comes from a 680hp twin-turbo V8, sending everything to the rear wheels. It’ll do 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds and hit 202mph if you’ve got the space. It’s got loads of grip, great visibility with the roof down, and feels properly fun to drive.

3) Lamborghini Urus

The Lamborghini Urus is one of the fastest SUVs around, rocketing from 0–62mph in just 3.6 seconds and packing a killer V8. With performance like that, it’s no wonder one just fetched £145,000 on Carwow in June.

It comes with adjustable air suspension to raise, lower, or stiffen the ride for better cornering. The comfy air suspension and smooth eight-speed auto make city driving easy, while six driving modes, active anti-roll bars, and four-wheel steering keep it surprisingly agile for its 2.2-tonne weight.

Inside, you get a luxe cabin with a triple-screen setup like an Audi Q8, plus leather sports seats and steering wheel. It seats four or five, with rear seats that fold flat, making it Lamborghini’s most practical model yet. Still, if space is your top priority, other SUVs like the Bentley Bentayga offer more room.

If you’re ready to drop six figures and don’t mind the extra costs from options, the Urus delivers in bold style and blistering speed. There aren’t many SUVs as loud or fast as this one.

4) Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 is a brilliant, everyday sports car that’s quick, fun, and surprisingly practical. One recently sold on Carwow for £130,000, and for good reason.

The GTS model adds clever active cooling vents, new wheels, a reshaped rear bumper with a cool light bar, and centrally mounted exhausts. Inside, there’s a fully digital dashboard that’s customisable and easy to read, plus there’s a standard start button.

The engine sits behind you, and the hybrid system boosts power to 541hp and 670Nm of torque, giving the 911 extra muscle without hurting fuel economy. You can still get a non-hybrid Carrera, which also has a power bump and the same styling.

It’s practical enough for two who travel fairly light, with the front boot offering just enough space for a couple of weekend bags. But really, you buy a 911 because it’s a joy to drive: sharp steering, incredible grip, and loads of feedback make it one of the best sports cars around, whether you’re in the city or out on open roads.

5) Porsche 718 Spyder

The Porsche 718 Spyder starts at around £125,500, and one sold on Carwow in June for £126,500.

The 718 Spyder is basically the drop-top version of the Cayman GT4, built for driving purists who love a proper open-air blast. It shares the same aggressive front end and aero tweaks to keep things cool and planted.

The roof’s a clever two-piece setup: a lightweight fabric top with open sides for sunny days, plus a clip-on cover if the weather turns.

It sits 30mm lower than a standard Boxster and comes with Porsche’s active suspension, torque vectoring, and a mechanical diff, all tuned for serious grip and cornering confidence.

Inside, you get lightweight bucket seats finished in leather and Race-Tex, with optional red or grey accents. It’s raw, focused, and made to be driven hard.

If money weren’t an issue, would you buy it?
