Purple cars FAQs

Not many, as purple is a colour not often used by car makers given that it tends to be a niche demand. There are some, however. BMW’s ‘Thundernight’ shade (best car paint name ever?) is available on the 2 Series Coupe, while the M5 saloon is available in ‘Velvet Blue’ which has definite purple hints. Subaru had a short run of BRZ coupes finished in a special ‘Purple Special Edition’ colour. Lamborghini will still paint its cars in its classic ‘Viola 30’ shade if you ask nicely, while the likes of Rolls-Royce and Morgan will match any colour you bring them, for a price.

Pretty rare — it’s a colour that not everyone likes and that few car makers offer as an option.
