DS DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE: what would you like to read next?
The DS 7 Crossback E-Tense is a plug-in hybrid version of the DS 7 Crossback SUV. It has a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine twinned with two electric motors and an onboard battery to produce a healthy 300hp.
That power and the car’s standard snappy eight-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive mean 0-60mph is dispatched in 6.5 seconds. However, when you’re not sprinting away from the lights, the E-Tense will travel 31 miles on electricity alone, which could save you a huge amount in fuel on your commute if you have the right charging facilities.
The DS 7 Crossback E-Tense is perfect for company car drivers because its low CO2 emissions mean you’ll pay much less in company car tax than with standard DS 7s.
Driven correctly the DS 7 Crossback E-Tense will return around 128mpg and its very low CO2 emissions mean that it’s the obvious choice for company car drivers looking to save money on company car tax payments. And there’s more good news – the E-Tense has the same interior and boot space the conventionally-powered DS 7 models.
