Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. And you can sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

1. Jaecoo 7

First up, we have the Jaecoo 7. It’s been incredibly popular, and after climbing the best-sellers list, it’s now held onto the number one spot for two months running.

This Chinese SUV has a smart, well-made interior, attention-grabbing looks and loads of equipment for the money. That said, its boxy dimensions don’t translate into as much practicality as you’d hope, and I find it pretty unpleasant to drive.

If that doesn’t put you off, though, I’ve found a fantastic deal on Carwow, where you can get behind the wheel for under £270 per month, at the time of writing. That’s based on a four-year lease, an annual mileage allowance of 5,000 miles and a 12-month initial rental.

Here’s the lease deal costs at a glance:

Monthly payment £267.59
Initial payment £3,559.08
Total cost £16,135.81

This Deluxe version also comes with features such as wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, heated front seats, and a 540-degree panoramic camera.

2. Ford Puma

Claiming silver is the Ford Puma, which was the UK’s best-selling car in 2025 and is currently the most popular car of the year so far.

This little SUV not only looks great, it’s fun to drive too. The rear seats are a bit cramped, and the interior feels slightly cheap in places, but the Puma makes up for it with a huge boot for its size and plenty of standard equipment.

You can currently save over £4,000 on the ST-Line X version when you buy one new through Carwow. This version gives you a 155hp 1.0-litre petrol engine, with the discount bringing the price down from over £32,200 down to £28,200, at the time of writing.

This top-spec version also comes with features such as a high-quality B&O stereo, synthetic leather upholstery, a wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, and Ford’s ‘Megabox’ extended boot space.

3. Volkswagen Golf

Rounding out the podium in October sales is the Volkswagen Golf, which is also the fifth best-selling car of the year so far.

Comfortable, roomy, well-equipped, fuel-efficient and built to last, the Volkswagen Golf does pretty much everything well. It might not be the most exciting car to drive – unless you opt for the sporty GTI or R versions – but as an all-rounder, it’s hard to beat.

You can get behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf for under £250 per month when you lease through Carwow, at the time of writing. That’s based on a four-year lease, an annual mileage allowance of 5,000 miles and a 12-month initial rental.

Check out the costs of this lease deal here:

Monthly payment £246.72
Initial payment £3,255.64
Total cost £14,851.48

4. Mini Countryman

The fourth best-selling car is the Mini Countryman, and it’s the first time this car has entered the top 10 list this year so far.

This small SUV has a cool interior design with quality materials, is incredibly spacious inside and is good value for money. That said, I find the gearbox a bit hesitant, it’s not particularly thrilling to drive, and the infotainment is clunky.

If you don’t want to commit to buying, you can lease one through Carwow that has a total cost of under £20,000 to pay over the course of four years, at the time of writing. This deal comes with an annual mileage of 6,000 miles per year and a 12-month initial payment.

Here’s this particular lease deal below:

Monthly payment £316.31
Initial payment £4,144.72
Total cost £19,011.29

In this C Classic version, you get a 170hp 1.5-litre petrol engine, a five-star safety rating, and equipment such as cruise control, six speakers, a heated steering wheel, and a parking camera.

5. Kia Sportage

The Kia Sportage is also in the top 10, and is currently the third most popular car in the UK this year so far.

It’s a versatile SUV that offers plenty of space, including a generous boot of up to 592 litres, a good level of standard equipment and a choice of efficient hybrid engines. While it’s not the most exciting SUV to drive and can feel a little firm over bumps, it’s a practical, great-value family car – made even more appealing by its impressive seven-year warranty.

You can currently save over £6,200 when you buy a new Sportage through Carwow. This deal is on the top-spec GT-Line S version which has a price of £44,195, but with the discount, you can get it for less than £40,000, at the time of writing.

This version gives you a 235hp 1.6-litre hybrid engine and features such as smartphone mirroring alongside an eight-speaker JBL stereo, a surround-view camera system, electric front-seat adjustment and a panoramic glass roof.

6. Mini Cooper

Next up is this iconic British hatchback that has sat in the top 10 best-sellers list for most of 2026.

The Mini Cooper is not only fun to drive, especially around town, it also has a fantastic interior and is quite affordable for a basic model too. However, it has a tiny boot and back seats, and I find the infotainment system is form over function in places.

Still interested? I’ve found a pretty good lease deal on this little hatchback through Carwow, getting you behind the wheel of one for less than £265 per month. This is based on a four-year lease, an annual mileage allowance of 6,000 miles and a 12-month initial payment.

Here are the lease deal costs at a glance:

Monthly payment £264.93
Initial payment £3,528.16
Total cost £15,979.87

In this C Classic version, you get a 156 1.5-litre petrol engine and you get features like cruise control, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, and a parking camera and sensors.

7. Nissan Qashqai

The Nissan Qashqai is another UK favourite, being in the top five list of best-selling cars this year so far.

If comfort is your priority, then the Qashqai trumps the Kia Sportage, soaking up bumps with ease. Its e-Power hybrid version is impressively smooth and economical, too. The boot isn’t as big as the Kia’s, and there’s no plug-in hybrid option – but you do get plenty of standard features and a nicely built interior.

The Qashqai’s range-topping Tekna+ version with the e-Power hybrid engine usually costs upwards of £42,700 – but buy one brand-new through Carwow and you could save over £7,000, bringing the price down to less than £35,700, at the time of writing.

Tekna+ models come with a Bose stereo, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic glass roof, soft Nappa leather seats with a memory function, four-way electrically adjustable lumbar support and a dark roof lining.

8. MG HS

The MG HS has also made the top 10 in October, and currently sits seventh in the charts this year so far.

It’s a spacious, well-equipped SUV that has an impressive plug-in hybrid engine that gives you a huge 75-mile electric range. Available with hybrid and petrol powertrains, this SUV also has a generous boot of up to 630 litres and plenty of room in the back seats. It’s comfortable, but some alternatives are more fun to drive, while the infotainment system can be a little fiddly.

The range-topping Trophy version of the MG HS typically starts from near £36,000 if you opt for the version with a factory-fitted panoramic roof, but you can currently save £6,600 on it when you buy through Carwow.

Coming with a 299hp 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid engine, this version has dual-zone climate control, an eight-speaker audio system, 360-degree parking camera, wireless charging pad, and leather upholstery among some other niceties.

9. Audi A3

Looking for a premium hatchback? Well, the Audi A3 was the ninth most popular car in the UK in October, and it’s easy to see why.

This hatchback has a striking design inside and out, excellent build quality on the inside, and comes well-equipped as standard. It’s a shame, though, that other hatchbacks are more practical and it’s not much fun on a twisty road.

But if you’re after something with a little more class, there’s a fantastic lease deal available through Carwow on the A3, with monthly payments of less than £240. This is based on a four-year lease, an annual mileage allowance of 6,000 miles and a 12-month initial payment.

Here’s this particular lease deal at a glance below:

Monthly payment £231.23
Initial payment £3,069.76
Total cost £13,937.57

This Sport version comes with a 116hp 1.5-litre petrol engine, has a five-star safety rating, and comes packed full of kit such as heated seats, adaptive cruise control, park assist with a reversing camera, 10 loudspeakers, and a wireless phone charger.

10. Jaecoo 5

Rounding out the top 10 is the Jaecoo 5 – the little sister to that of the Jaecoo 7. This car has broken into the UK’s best-selling list three times now: it ranked seventh in July and climbed to fourth in August.

This Chinese SUV is a lot of car for money. There’s loads of room inside, a slick infotainment system and you get a long warranty too. That said, its petrol engine is rather thirsty and noisy, and I find it disappointingly poor to drive.

It shouldn’t put you off though as you can lease this car at a right bargain. I’ve found a deal where you pay shy of over £250 per month, and you get to keep the car for four years. The annual mileage of this deal is 5,000 miles per year and you have a 12-month initial payment.

Here’s what you can expect to pay on this lease deal:

Monthly payment £251.03
Initial payment £3,312.33
Total cost £15,110.65

This top-spec Luxury version comes with a 140hp 1.6-litre petrol engine, and has features like heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 540-degree panoramic view camera, front and rear parking sensors, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger.
