Car changing is a big deal
Looking for a used Chinese car? Start with these five currently available on Carwow.
Chinese cars are making waves in the UK, with more drivers taking notice of their competitive prices, generous levels of equipment and growing range of electric and hybrid models.
As more of these brands establish themselves on British roads, the used market is expanding too, giving you the chance to pick up a well-equipped car for less than you might expect.
If you’re thinking about buying one, we’ve rounded up five of the best used Chinese cars you can find on Carwow. Whether you’re after an electric car, a practical family SUV or simply the best value for your money, these five models are a great place to start.
Remember, you can buy a used car right here on Carwow. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.
1. BYD Seal

First up is the BYD Seal. This handsome electric saloon gives you decent range, comes well-equipped, and is comfortable yet fun to drive. That said, its touchscreen is hard to navigate on the move and you’ll find bigger boots in alternatives.
A brand-new BYD Seal usually starts from £45,730, but we’ve found a used example from 2025 for a lot less. This is for the Design version which has up to 354 miles of range on a single charge and 10,603 miles on the clock, all for £27,440.
It also comes with the following features:
- Five-star safety safety rating
- Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
- 15.6-inch horizontal touchscreen
- 360-degree camera and rear parking radars
- Heat pump
- 19-inch alloy wheels
2. Chery Tiggo 8

Next up is the Chery Tiggo 8, which is a Chinese SUV that’s got a posh interior and technology that’s plentiful and works well. It even won the top prize at Carwow’s Car of the Year Awards. However, it’s disappointing to drive and it has a tiny boot in seven-seat mode.
A brand-new Chery Tiggo 8 usually starts from £28,545, but we’ve found a second-hand example from 2025 for less than £25,000. This is for the Aspire version which comes with a 147hp 1.6-litre petrol engine and 2,510 miles on the clock, all for £24,222.
With this, you get:
- Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
- 15.6-inch infotainment display
- Wireless charging pad
- 540-degree panoramic view camera
- Adaptive cruise control
- 19-inch alloy wheels
5. Geely EX5

Next up, it’s the Geely EX5. This luxurious-feeling electric SUV comes with plush interior, very roomy back seats, and a top-spec model that comes loaded with kit. That said, it has a smaller boot than alternatives and its suspension is firm over bumps.
A brand-new Geely EX5 usually starts from £36,990 for its top-spec Max version, but we’ve found a used example from 2026 for a lot less. This comes with up to 255 miles of range on a single charge and 1,816 miles on the clock, all for £25,000.
In this car, you also get:
- Five-star safety rating
- 461-litres of boot space
- 16 speaker FLYME sound premium audio system
- 360-degree top view surround parking vision
- Adaptive and intelligent cruise control
- Wireless charging
- 19-inch alloy wheels
4. Jaecoo 7

You can also find used deals on the Jaecoo 7, an SUV that has featured among the UK’s 10 best-selling cars in recent months. It comes well equipped and is easy to drive around town, but its firm suspension can make it feel unsettled on rough roads, and it’s not as practical as some alternatives.
A new Jaecoo 7 usually starts from over £35,000 in its Luxury trim, but you can save yourself around £10,000 buying this used example from 2025. This version comes with a 204hp 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid engine (which we’d recommend over the petrol version) and 20,540 miles on the clock, all for £25,495.
You also get the following features:
- Five-star safety rating
- Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
- Heated front seats and steering wheel
- 14.8-inch portrait central LCD display
- Sony 8 speaker sound system
- 500-litres of boot space
- 19-inch alloy wheels
5. MG4 EV

Last up we have another electric car for you to have a look at, but this time it’s in the shape of a little hatchback. The MG4 EV gives you decent range for the price, an interior that’s well-made, and is fun to drive. That said, it’s got a small boot and it’s quite noisy on the motorway.
If that hasn’t put you off, however, a new MG4 EV usually starts from £27,245, but we’ve found a second-hand example from 2024 for less than £18,000. This is for the Trophy version which comes with up to 323 miles on a single charge and 11,200 miles on the clock, all for £17,995.
It also comes with:
- Five-star safety rating
- Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
- 10.25-inch colour touchscreen
- Wireless mobile phone charger
- 360 degree parking camera
- Adaptive cruise control
- 18-inch alloy wheels
