Find out why you should lease this spacious and posh-feeling SUV, which could be yours from less than £220 per month through Carwow.

My pick for this week’s lease deal is a plug-in hybrid SUV that’s not only comfortable and spacious, it’s got lots of standard kit and offers great value for money too. Here’s why you should consider the Omoda 7, which you can lease through Carwow from less than £220 per month.

Lease a Omoda 7 from less than £220 per month*

Senior reviews writer Mario Christou has recently tested the Omoda 7.

You can lease an entry-level Knight version of the Omoda 7 from £218.95 per month (initial payment: £2,922.40) on a 36-month, 5,000-mile-per-year deal through Carwow. This is for a 204hp 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid which can take you up to 55 miles on its electric charge. It also comes with the following features:

  • Rear-view camera
  • Wireless phone charging pad
  • Electrically adjustable driver’s seat
  • 590 litres of boot space
  • Black leatherette interior
  • 15.6-inch touchscreen
  • 19-inch alloy wheels

Why consider the Omoda 7?

The Omoda 7 has up to 590 litres of boot space.

I’d recommend the Omoda 7 because it combines stylish looks with practical family-friendly features. Its sleek headlights, sharknose front, and lightning-bolt taillights make it stand out, while the cabin feels premium with spacious seating and a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen. The interior has some hard plastics, but the comfort, legroom, and boot space more than make up for it.

It comes with a plug-in hybrid engine with around 55 miles of electric range. The PHEV is smooth, peppy, and efficient around town, making it a sensible choice for daily driving.

Driving the Omoda 7 is surprisingly fun. It handles twisty roads well with plenty of grip and responsive steering, while the suspension manages bumps and potholes decently. There’s some wind noise at high speed, but overall it’s a confident, comfortable, and stylish SUV if you’re looking for something a bit sportier than the usual medium-sized crowd.

Alternatives to the Omoda 7

Still not convinced? Here are three other options to consider:

  • Chery Tiggo 7: Quiet and refined on the motorway but not much fun on a twisty road.
  • Hyundai Tucson: Has a huge boot but the rear seat shape is awkward.
  • Jaecoo 7: Has a well-made interior but it’s so-so in practicality.
