Plenty of glossy trims and a seven-inch infotainment system help the Vauxhall Corsa’s cabin stand out from the crowd but it doesn’t have the same big-car feel as some newer alternatives

The Vauxhall Corsa’s interior looks pretty smart – at least for a reasonably priced small car. You get loads of glossy plastic trims on the dashboard and some soft, squidgy plastics on the doors where you’ll rest your arm. Every Vauxhall Corsa comes with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system but there’s no option to upgrade to a slick digital driver’s display like in the new VW Polo.
Pick a Design car or above and you’ll get a leather-trimmed steering wheel and DAB digital radio while mid-range SE versions get more supportive heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Top-spec Elite cars sport some extra-plush velour floor mats and tinted windows as standard.
You can personalise your Vauxhall Corsa’s cabin with a few colourful plastic trims and cloth inserts but these will depend on which model you pick. Entry-level cars come with the option of glossy black and bright blue trims but classy satin chrome and bronze-effect items are reserved for SE and Elite cars.

The Vauxhall Corsa’s standard seven-inch touchscreen is sharp, colourful and responds quickly to your inputs but there aren’t any physical buttons to help you switch between key features or tweak the stereo volume like you get in a Fiesta. Thankfully, the system’s menus are logically laid out but the VW Polo’s super-sharp eight-inch display is a touch easier to read on the move.
Limited Edition models and above come with Vauxhall’s OnStar system as standard. This upgraded infotainment system can automatically call the emergency services if it detects you’ve had an accident and comes with a mobile app that’ll let you lock the car or sound the horn remotely – useful in airport car parks. There’s also a built-in wifi hotspot so your passengers needn’t go a single journey without internet access.
Satellite navigation will set you back an extra £650 across the Vauxhall Corsa range as part of the upgraded Navi infotainment option. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look quite as good as the Polo’s system and it’s a touch trickier to use. Thankfully, every Vauxhall Corsa comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring as standard so you can use your phone’s navigation apps through the car’s built-in screen instead.
These features also let you make calls and stream music from your phone through the car’s stereo – just don’t expect the sound quality to be particularly impressive. All cars come with a six-speaker stereo system with DAB digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity but there’s no option to upgrade to a big-name brand like the Polo’s 300W Beats unit.
