This hatchback is fun to drive and smart looking. The best part is that you can buy a used example through Carwow from less than £7,000.

Today’s used car deal is a hatchback that’s popular for a reason. It’s not only good-looking on the outside, it’s very fun to drive too. I’m talking about the Ford Focus, which would be yours from less than £7,000 if you buy second-hand through Carwow.

Remember, you can buy a used car right here on Carwow. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

Buy a used Ford Focus from less than £7,000*

Unfortunately you can’t get this car brand-new anymore. But fear not, we’ve found a great used example from 2013 that might be worth a look. This Zetec version has a 125hp 1.6-litre petrol engine and 30,363 miles on the clock, all for £6,999.

With this, you get the following:

  • Five-star safety rating
  • 6 speakers
  • Driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar support
  • 12V power point front/rear
  • Air conditioning

Why consider a used Ford Focus?

I’d recommend a Ford Focus because it does what it says on the tin for a lot of drivers looking for a bit of a thrill but don’t want to break the bank – it drives well, looks great and is affordable.

The Ford Focus has a 316-litre boot.

The Focus’ dashboard sports some nice soft-touch plastics but the doors, centre console and steering wheel all feel a bit cheap. Jump in the back, and you’ll find a few handy cubbies on each side but headroom is tight. The narrow door openings make fitting a child seat a pain.

We’d recommend the 1.6-litre petrol engine version as it gives you the perfect balance of reliability, low maintenance costs, and is great to drive on a daily basis around town and on the motorway.

Alternatives to the Ford Focus

Here are three other hatchbacks to consider:

  • Volkswagen Golf: Latest tech is present and correct but it’s only averagely roomy.
  • SEAT Leon: Spacious for passenger but the boot could be bigger.
  • Vauxhall Astra: Good driving balance but its automatic gearbox can be jumpy.
