Car changing is a big deal
This family hatchback sadly won’t be in production for much longer. But you can buy a used example from less than £17,000.
My pick for today’s car deal of the day won’t be in production for much longer, which is something of a sad thought. But not to worry, there are plenty of used car deals for you to take advantage of for this recognisable family hatchback.

Indeed, the Ford Focus is filled with an impressive level of tech and offers good space for families. What’s more is that a used example could be yours from less than £17,000. But why should you consider this car? I’m here to tell you.
Did you know you can buy a used car right here on Carwow? We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.
Buy a used Ford Focus from less than £17,000*

A brand-new Ford Focus usually starts at £28,730, but you can get a used example through Carwow from less than £17,000. For instance, you can get a 2023 used example for £16,180 which has 31,433 miles on the clock. I think this is a great deal because it’s only a couple of years old, has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and heated seats.
Why consider the Ford Focus?

The Ford Focus is nearing the end of its production in November, and I can’t help but feel nostalgic as it was once the peak of the family hatchback. It’s a sleek, practical five-door that’s aged gracefully since 2018, with a subtle 2022 refresh keeping it fresh.
Inside, I love the big 13.2-inch touchscreen and intuitive software, though I do miss some traditional buttons. The cabin feels solid, the driving position is excellent, and having Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is really helpful. There’s plenty of rear space, and while the boot is decent at 391 litres, I’d recommend the Estate if you need more room.

Under the bonnet, I’d opt for the 155hp 1.0-litre EcoBoost automatic: it’s quick, efficient, and fun to drive. What really sells me on the Focus is how it handles: sharp steering, sporty yet comfortable, and agile on twisty roads. It’s easy to drive in town, composed on the motorway, and genuinely enjoyable to own.
Alternatives to the Ford Focus
Prefer something else? Here are three other cars to consider:
- Mazda 3: Fun to drive but alternatives are much more comfortable.
- Peugeot 308: Feels truly classy inside but the seating position won’t suit everyone.
- Volkswagen Golf: Great choice of efficient engines but it has dull styling.
