7 of the quickest Supercars in a drag race
June 23, 2025 by Jamie Edkins

Car changing is a big deal
We’ve featured some truly insane supercars on the Carwow YouTube channel, and these are the seven fastest which we’ve raced down the quarter mile.
Here at Carwow we love a drag race, and over the years we’ve sent loads of bonkers supercars flying down the quarter mile. We’re going to run through some of the fastest exotica to ever grace the Carwow YouTube Channel, and we’ll be ranking them by their quarter-mile times.
But first, a couple of ground rules. Firstly, all the cars on this list have to be road-legal, and secondly each model can only appear once. We’ve raced a few different tuned Nissan GT-R’s for example, so we’ve only included the fastest one.
Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. And you can sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.
The seven fastest supercars we’ve raced on Carwow are:
- Rimac Nevera
- Lamborghini Huracan JM1800
- Nissan GT-R R35 1,600hp
- Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut
- Audi R8 tuned by Autotorque
- Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport
- Ferrari SF90 Stradale
1. Rimac Nevera – 8.4 seconds

The fastest supercar we’ve ever featured on the Carwow YouTube Channel is the Rimac Nevera – a 1,914hp electric beast from Croatia which beat both the McMurtry Spielring and a Formula 1 car in a drag race.
The McMurtry isn’t on this list because it isn’t yet road-legal, but it completed the quarter mile in the exact same time as the Rimac. The slow-motion action replay shows that the Nevera was ahead by a nose at the end though.
2. Lamborghini Huracan JM1800 – 8.7 seconds

Next up we have our first tuned car – a Lamborghini Huracan from JM Imports. It has a fully built 5.2-litre V10 engine with a couple of turbochargers strapped to it, and the result is a whopping 1,800hp.
It put in a blistering quarter mile time, but ultimately the tuned Huracan still couldn’t quite beat the Rimac Nevera. A quick look at the Carwow drag race leaderboard does show that it was faster than a Porsche 918 Spyder though.
3. Nissan R35 GT-R by JM Imports – 8.9 seconds

It’s another of JM Imports’ mental creations which comes in at number three – a Nissan GT-R with 1,600hp. The twin-turbocharged V6 has been bored out from 3.8-litres to 4.1-litres, and it has uprated turbos as well.
The result was a bit of a thrashing for the tuned McLaren 720S and Audi R8 which this GT-R was up against, and it was even faster than a Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport down the Carwow drag strip.
4. Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut – 8.9 seconds

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut currently holds the world record for 0-400kmh and back to zero – completing that sprint in 27.83 seconds. It did this with the help of a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 running on E85 race fuel, putting out 1,600hp and 1,500Nm of torque.
We raced it against the Koenigsegg Regera, which previously held the same record as the Jesko. It certainly showed the progress Koenigsegg has made, because the new car beat its predecessor by over a second.
5. Audi R8 tuned by Autotorque – 9.4 seconds

Up next is the Audi R8 which we raced against the JM Imports Nissan GT-R. It has a 5.2-litre V10 engine which has had two turbochargers added to it, resulting in 1,200hp. That’s nearly double what the car would have as standard.
It may not have been quick enough to beat the GT-R, but it was still faster than the 1,100hp tuned McLaren 720S which also featured in this race.
6. Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport 9.4 seconds

It’s strange to see the Bugatti Chiron so far down this list – after all, the brand has a reputation for making some of the fastest cars in the world. They’re more geared towards top speed, but that didn’t stop this big luxury car putting in a blistering quarter mile time.
It has an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine with 1,500hp and 1,600Nm of torque, which is actually 100hp less than the Chiron Super Sport it was racing against. The Pur Sport is lighter though, which likely helped it out.
7. Ferrari SF90 Stradale – 9.6 seconds

You thought we were going to finish this list without a single Ferrari? Think again. The SF90 Stradale is the Italian brand’s flagship, and it’s packing a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 which is assisted by three electric motors.
Combined you get 1,000hp and 800Nm of torque, which is plenty in a car weighing just 1,600kg. The SF90 beat a Porsche 911 Turbo S by some margin in a drag race, and it was also faster than a Lamborghini Revuelto.
