Drag race: Koenigsegg Agera RST vs Porsche 911 Turbo S vs 1000hp Audi TT RS

Mat’s behind the wheel of the Koenigsegg for this race. Mounted behind him is a 5.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine with a whopping 1,360hp and 1,572Nm of torque. This is sent to the rear wheels only via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Agera weighs in at 1,395kg, and it’ll set you back an eye-watering £3,500,000!

Let’s say you want something more reasonably priced, what about a carwow drag race favourite: The Porsche 911 Turbo S. It costs a slightly more modest £180,000. For that you get a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine with 650hp and 850Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission. It is slightly heavier than the Koenigsegg at 1,640kg.

Finally, we’ve got a bit of a wildcard: a tuned Audi TT RS. Under the bonnet used to be a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder turbocharged engine, however this one has been bored out to 3.0-litres. It’s also been massively tuned so it now makes 950hp. This is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,450kg.
