Mat’s driving the BMW M240i today. It has a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine with 375hp and 500Nm of torque. This is fed to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox with launch control, and the car weighs in at 1,690kg.

Taking on the BMW, we have the Audi RS5 Sportback. Its 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 has 450hp and 600Nm of torque, fed to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox. It’s heavier though, coming in at 1,735kg.
