I drag raced the most extreme versions of every Maserati on sale to see which is quickest
July 04, 2026 by Mat Watson
What will happen in a drag race between the performance versions of every Maserati on sale? I’m here to find out, because I’ve gathered together the Grecale, Gran Turismo, MCPura and the GT2 Stradale.
Let’s take a closer look at the stats.
Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. And you can sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.
Maserati Grecale Trofeo
Starting off on the sensible side, we have the Maserati Grecale Trofeo. It’s a four-wheel drive SUV with enough space inside for the whole family, as well as a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine under the bonnet putting out 530hp and 620Nm of torque.

The Grecale tips the scales at 2,027kg, and it costs a whopping £106,000. That’s £30,000 more than a Porsche Macan GTS, and yet it’s still the least expensive car here.
Maserati Granturismo Trofeo
Next up we have Maserati’s two-door GT car: the Granturismo. This Trofeo version also has a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, but it puts out 550hp and 650Nm of torque. Like the Grecale, it also has all-wheel drive.

The Granturismo is lighter than the SUV, coming in at 1,795kg, and it’ll strip even more weight out of your wallet as well. It costs £151,000.
Maserati MCPura
Things are getting serious now, because the MCPura Cielo is a convertible mid-engined supercar. It uses the same 3.0-litre V6 engine as the other two cars, but it’s tuned up to produce 630hp and 720Nm of torque.

That extra power will certainly make a difference, but it’s all sent to the rear wheels. That’ll make it much tricker to launch, but at least it’s light. The MCPura weighs 1,560kg, and it costs £236,000.
Maserati GT2 Stradale
I’ve saved the best for last, because the Maserati GT2 Stradale is the most extreme car the brand makes. It’s a stripped-back, track-focussed car with a mid-mounted 3.0-litre V6 engine making 640hp and 720Nm of torque.

This is sent to the rear wheels only, and it’s the lightest car here at just 1,465kg. As you might expect, it’s also the most expensive. Parking one of these in your garage will cost you £277,000.
So those are the cars, but which will win in a quarter-mile drag race? You’ll have to watch this week’s video to find out.
