For today’s drag race, Mat’s behind the wheel of the McLaren 600LT. It has a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with 600hp and 620Nm of torque. This is fed to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and the McLaren weighs in at 1,404kg.

As for the Lamborghini, it has a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with 770hp and 720Nm of torque. This is fed to all four wheels via a seven-speed robotised manual gearbox. The Aventador weighs in at 1,525kg, although that’s dry weight. By the time you’ve added some fluids and a driver, you’re looking at closer to 1,625kg.
