Volkswagen has scrapped SE trim on the Volkswagen Passat while simultaneously bolstering the standard kit on SE Business models.
The additional equipment – which includes sat-nav, front fog lights, tinted rear windows and electrically folding door mirrors – should cost £555, but VW has added just £100 to the cost of the model. The extra kit joins an equipment list that already includes a Bluetooth phone connection, DAB radio, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and Ergo Comfort ergonomic seats.
SE Business trim can be specified on four-door saloon and five-door Passat estate models and can be combined with a variety of diesel engines ranging from the frugal 1.6 to the more powerful 2.0-litre version.
