Drag race: new Lamborghini Temerario vs Lamborghini Revuelto

The Lamborghini Temerario is the replacement for the Huracan, and it’s the baby in Lambo’s range. So wouldn’t it be embarrassing if it could beat the larger, more powerful Revuelto in a drag race?

Well to see if it can, I’ve got both cars on the Carwow drag strip. Let’s take a closer look at the stats.

New Lamborghini Temerario

I’ll be driving the new Temerario for this race, which means behind me is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. It also has three electric motors, two on the front axle and one between the engine and gearbox, and combined you have 920hp and 730Nm of torque.

It also has an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive, and weighs 1,690kg without any fluids on board. With fluids it weighs around 1,790kg. The car costs £260,000.

Lamborghini Revuelto

The Lamborghini Revuelto has a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine which, like the Temerario, has three electric motors. In total it has 1,015hp and 1,062Nm of torque, and this goes to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

It tips the scales at around 1,900kg with fluids, an extra 100kg or so over the Temerario which could make all the difference. It costs a whopping £560,000.

So those are the stats, but what will actually happen? On paper the Revuelto should walk it, but the Temerario is a complete unknown at this point. Maybe it has a trick or two up its sleeve? You’ll have to watch this week’s video to find out.
