Obviously, we’re not talking about just any electric saloon. Mat’s behind the wheel, or should that be yoke, of the Tesla Model S Plaid. It has three electric motors, two on the rear axle and one on the front, putting out 1,020hp and 1,420Nm of torque. It is quite heavy at 2,190kg, and it costs £113,300.

Taking on the Tesla we have a Ferrari SF90. Mounted behind the driver is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 which is assisted by three electric motors. Combined it has 1,000hp and 800Nm of torque, quite a lot in a car which tips the scales at 1,570kg. Power is sent to all four wheels, and the Ferrari costs £376,048.

And just because it’s a carwow drag race favourite, we’ve thrown a Porsche 911 Turbo S into the mix. It has a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six slung out over the rear wheels putting out 650hp and 800Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels, and the Porsche is pretty light as well at 1,650kg. The Turbo S will set you back £180,000.

So which of these cars will come out on top? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
