A totally new Fiat 500 isn’t too far away now so, to herald the twilight of its massively successful model, the Italian brand has introduced a number of special editions.
The Vintage ’57 edition was only just revealed and now the marque has shown this model, the 500 Ron Arad Special Edition – costing from £16,000.
It’s only available in eye-catching metallic black with white graphics showing a silhouette of the original Fiat 500. It gets a standard glass sunroof, black leather upholstery, a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, climate control, fog lights and 16-inch alloy wheels. The car gets the 1.2-litre 69hp petrol engine.
Arad, a fan of the original, has made a name for himself with his art, architecture and product design. He created a piece of art called ‘In Reverse‘ featuring six original Fiat 500s and showcased it at the old Fiat factory in Turin. For reasons known only to Mr Arad and Fiat, buyers will receive a 1:18 scale model of their car when they make their purchase.
