Drag race: Koenigsegg Jesko Attack vs supercharged Suzuki Hayabusa

Koenigsegg makes some of the fastest cars in the world, so you might think it would be difficult to find anything to rival one of its most hardcore models, the Jesko Attack, in a drag race.
Well I think this could come pretty close: a turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa. As standard it’s one of the fastest road bikes you can buy, but with forced induction it could well be a match for this multi-million pound car.

Powering the Koenigsegg is a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with 1,280hp when running on pump fuel, as we are today, or it can produce 1,600hp on E85 race fuel. Power is sent to the rear wheels only, which will make it a pretty tricky thing to get off the line quickly.
The starting price for one of these is around £2.85 million, and this car has around £500,000 worth of options on it. Let’s see if the bike can match this car’s performance for a lot less cash.
It has a 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine with a supercharger fitted to it, bringing the power up to around 375hp. That’s plenty when you’ve only got two wheels, and the Hayabusa only weighs 257kg giving it a power-to-weight ratio of nearly 1,500hp per tonne.
