Drag race: New Lamborghini Revuelto vs Ferrari SF90 vs Porsche 918 Spyder

Mat’s made a beeline for the new Lamborghini Revuelto for this drag race. It’s the long-awaited successor to the iconic Aventador, and it still has a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine mounted right behind the seats. Unlike the old car though, this one has three electric motors to boost power. There’s one at the rear of the car and two powering the front wheels, and all-together you get 1,015hp and 1,062Nm of torque. It’s also equipped with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, as opposed to the violent robotised manual you got in the Aventador, and this car as it sits costs £550,000.

Sat next to the Lambo we have it’s deadliest rival, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. It has a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors, just like the Revuelto, and combined you get 1,000hp and 800Nm of torque going to all four wheels. It may be slightly down on power, but the SF90 is slightly lighter at 1,570kg compared to the Lamborghini’s 1,700kg.

Just for good measure, we’ve chucked in the Porsche 918 Spyder. It has a 4.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8, paired with two electric motors to make a combined 887hp and 1,280Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels, and this is by far the most expensive car here. Back when it was new it would set you back around £800,000, however nowadays it’s worth £1.3 million.

So how will Lamborghini’s new flagship get on against its peers? You’ll have to watch the video to find out!
