Drag race: Lamborghini Temerario vs Ferrari 296 GTB
May 30, 2026 by Mario Christou
Coca-Cola vs Pepsi, Nike vs Adidas and Ferrari vs Lamborghini, some of the most iconic rivalries in human history. Today, we’re doing our part to settle one of them on the drag strip. Not with cans of soft drinks, but with two hybrid supercars, one wearing a prancing horse on its tail and the other with a raging bull on its nose.
Meet the Ferrari 206 GTB and the Lamborghini Temerario, two of the most technologically advanced, high-powered cars to ever be produced by the iconic Italian brands.
Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. And you can sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.
Ferrari 296 GTB

A successor to the V8-powered Ferrari F8 Tributo, the 296 GTB features a twin-turbocharged, plug-in hybrid, 3.0-litre V6 engine and a single electric motor, combining to produce a mighty 830hp and 740Nm of torque.
All of this grunt is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the 296 GTB weighs in at 1,540kg.
Lamborghini Temerario

The Lamborghini Temerario, like the Ferrari, also features a downsized engine compared to its 5.2-litre V10 Huracan predecessor. The new model is fitted with a plug-in hybrid, 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine and three electric motors for an outrageous 920hp and 730Nm of torque.
Unlike the Fez, the Lambo sends its power to all four wheels via a similar eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. At almost 1,700kg, however, the Lamborghini has some extra heft to propel.
Will the Temerario’s extra weight put it at a disadvantage compared to the 296 GTB? It’s going to be a close one, so you’ll have to watch the video to find out…
