Drag race: Lotus Eletre vs Lamborghini Huracan Performante

Mat fancies his chances in the Lotus Eletre today. Powering him up the quarter mile are two electric motors with a combined 905hp and 985Nm of torque, although being an electric SUV it is quite heavy. The Eletre tips the scales at 2,640kg, and it costs a hefty £115,000.

Lined up next to the Lotus is a Lamborghini Urus Performante. It’s a bit of a dinosaur compared to the lotus, powered by a roaring 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 666hp and 850Nm of torque. That power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Urus isn’y exactly a lightweight either, coming in a 2,100kg. It’s also a lot more expensive than the Lotus, this one costs £330,000.
