Whenever a manufacturer announces a new model dealers will become keen to sell old cars as quickly as possible. If you use our SEAT Ibiza Cupra car configurator you can take advantage of these great offers.
New SEAT Ibiza Cupra styling
The new Ibiza Cupra will be available exclusively in a sporty ‘SC’ coupe body style with large 17-inch alloy wheels. The front grille and mirror caps are now painted in contrasting high-gloss black while the rear diffuser comes with a matte finish and a large centrally mounted exhaust.
New SEAT Ibiza Cupra interior
The new Ibiza Cupra is fitted with a five-inch touchscreen infotainment system with DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and smartphone compatibility. Standard driver aids include hill-start assist, cruise control and a system that is able to detect if a driver is tired and needs to take a break.
Both the Cupra and Cupra Black models benefit from bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights. Tinted rear windows, climate control and heated door mirrors are also standard features. Alcantara upholstery and a panoramic sunroof can be specified on both models at the cost of £400 and £495 respectively.
The Cupra Black comes with a number of new features including a larger 6.5-inch infotainment system, voice recognition, 3D maps and slots for two SD cards as standard The Cupra Black costs £800 more than the Cupra but, SEAT claims, it comes with over £1,000 worth of extra equipment as standard.
New SEAT Ibiza Cupra engines and driving
One of the most noticeable changes made to the new Cupra is the switch from a DSG gearbox to a traditional six-speed manual. The new 1.8-litre petrol engine has 12hp more power and 52lb ft more torque than the old 1.4-litre engine which, combined with a manual gearbox, should help make the new Ibiza popular among keen drivers. The new Cupra is able to hit 62mph from rest in just 6.7 seconds – 0.2 seconds faster than the old model.
New SEAT Ibiza Cupra price and release date
The standard Ibiza Cupra costs £18,100 and the Ibiza Cupra Black £18,900. Both models are available now. Dealers will, however, still have old models in stock which they will be keen to offer significant discounts on to clear space for new cars.
