A new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo has been revealed, with the sporty range-topping making a return for the latest hatchback.

As well as bringing racier design tweaks, Monte Carlo trim brings more kit to the Fabia. No word yet when UK orders will open, though.

New Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo design

A host of visual upgrades come to the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo.

It gets a revised front bumper with a black grille, extended side skirts and a new diffuser at the back. You’ll also find black-painted wing mirrors, with a contrasting roof optional.

17-inch wheels and LED headlights also come as standard for the Monte Carlo, with a set of model-specific badges rounding out the changes. These 18-inch wheels are optional, too.

New Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo interior and infotainment

If you’re a fan of fake carbon fibre, the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo has you covered. The dashboard gets a huge new trim piece designed to mimic the material, along with plenty of red accents.

New sports seats with red striping are fitted too, as is a three-spoke, flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Along with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, the Monte Carlo comes with an eight-inch infotainment system as standard. This can be upgraded to a 9.2-inch system if you’d prefer.

New Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo engines

You’ve got a pick of two turbocharged petrol engines for the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo.

The first is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder developing out 110hp and 200Nm of torque, linked up to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. A seven-speed automatic gearbox is an option.

There’s also a 1.5-litre four-cylinder producing 150hp and 250Nm of torque. This gets the automatic gearbox as standard.

New Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo price and release date

No word yet on when orders will open in the UK for the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo, but expect it to be pretty soon.

As the range-topper, expect pricing to tip over the £20,000 mark. The current most expensive Fabia — SE L — starts at £19,380.
