Nissan will simplify its hugely popular Qashqai range by swapping both N-Tec and N-Tec+ versions for new the N-Connecta trim

The wildly popular Nissan Qashqai has found many homes across the UK. It’s offered in a variety of trim packages to suit various price brackets but navigating these options was sometimes a little tricky. To help buyers, Nissan has cut both N-Tec and N-Tec+ from the range and replaced them with the new N-Connecta trim.

Neither pricing nor specification for N-Connecta has changed over the old N-Tec meaning you can still get a 1.2-litre turbo petrol model for £22,110. The position filled by the N-Tec+ is now occupied by the N-Connecta with the optional Comfort pack that adds a panoramic sunroof and roof rails. Acenta Premium also bows out to help make the range clearer.

The powerful 161hp 1.6-litre turbo petrol option – only offered in high spec N-Connecta and Tekna trims – gets some further upgrades. Its fuel tank has been increased from 55 to 65 litres giving a welcome boost to overall range while a new, more sophisticated rear suspension setup enhances these top-spec models’ ride quality and refinement.

Within the new N-Connecta trim, a variety of options packs can be specified to enhance equipment further. The £250 Heat pack adds a heated front windscreen and heated front seats, while the aforementioned Comfort pack adds a panoramic sunroof and roof rails. The £1,500 executive pack brings electrically adjustable heated seats, leather upholstery and a heated front windscreen.
