Aston Martin V8 Vantage 007 Edition

The new 007 Edition V8 Vantage takes inspiration from the classic Aston Martin V8 – the one that sprouted skis for its trip across an ice lake in ‘The Living Daylights’ back in 1987. Visual upgrades for the new V8 Vantage include a remodelled grille with revised mesh and a new chrome surround.

The new 007 Edition’s yellow-striped diffuser is a nod to the Bond car’s secret rocket booster.

Each V8 Vantage 007 Edition will come in Cumberland Grey with yellow highlights on the rear diffuser that Aston says are there to remind you of the warning tape on the secret rocket booster fitted to Bond’s V8 in the ’87 film.

Aston’s hidden a few neat easter eggs in the new car’s cabin for Bond geeks to find. There’s the obvious ‘007’ plaque on the centre console and the sun visors come embroidered with an FM radio frequency – the same frequency used by Russian police in ‘The Living Daylights’ film.

Manual and automatic gearboxes will be offered in the V8 Vantage 007 Edition.

Aston Martin will only sell 100 V8 Vantage 007 Editions at a cost of £161,000 each, which is around £38,000 more than the standard V8 Vantage. You won’t be able to customise much on these special edition models, but you can choose between a manual or automatic gearbox.

Aston Martin will only build 25 of these DBS Superleggera 007 Editions.

Aston Martin DBS Superleggera 007 Edition

The new DBS Superleggera 007 Edition will be even more exclusive – Aston Martin will only sell 25. The car’s twin-turbo V12 hasn’t been tweaked, so it produces the same 725hp and 900Nm of torque as the standard DBS. But, Aston’s ‘Q’ division has fitted exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels, black exterior trim and a number of subtle ‘007’ badges.

Inside, the DBS Superleggera 007 Edition gets black trim with red stitching and a smattering of additional ‘007’ plaques. The DBS Superleggera 007 Edition is on sale now, priced from £276,025. That’s around £47,000 more than the standard DBS Superleggera.
