Land Rover Discovery Specs & Dimensions

The Discovery S is the cheapest model in the range (although it’s not exactly low-cost…) and, from the inside, it feels it – the seats are fabric, not leather and you don’t get nice, glossy trim pieces. You also have to do without front and rear parking sensors – almost essential in a car this size. You do, however, get a powered tailgate, an eight-inch touchscreen (but with no sat-nav), automatic emergency braking, air-conditioning and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Dynamic SE is one up from the base-trim Discovery S. The specification includes LED headlights, a heated windscreen, privacy glass, a black contrast roof, fixed front and rear panoramic roofs, and 21-inch alloys with all-terrain tyres. Inside the seven-seat cabin, there’s two-zone climate control, DuoLeather upholstery, 18-way electric adjustment for the driver’s seat, and a manually folding third row. The Pivi Pro infotainment system is fitted, along with a Meridian stereo. You’ll also find a wireless charging pad.

The Dynamic HSE adds some comfort-orientated kit such as cooled seats that on the driver's side adjusts 20 ways, powered steering column adjust and Matrix LED headlights. The wheels also go up an inch to 22 inches, and the rear seats are heated.

The big draw of the Metropolitan Edition trim is that it ups the opulence on the Land Rover Discovery. Shiny exterior trim and diamond-turned 22-inch alloys give the car a bit of kerb appeal, and standard-fit tech inside includes four-zone climate control, a head-up display unit and a heated steering wheel.

As it says on the tin, 35th Edition trim is a celebration of 35 years of the Land Rover Discovery name. The most notable feature is the 350hp 3.0-litre engine, giving the enormous off-roader a 0-60mph time of 5.9 seconds. 22-inch black wheels, four-zone climate control, a panoramic roof and a choice of grey or black paint are some other highlights.
