Jaguar F-Type British Design Edition revealed

Jaguar has released the new F-Type British Design Edition. This special model gets the pick of the equipment list to battle the Porsche 911

The new Jaguar F-Type British Design Edition builds on the car’s already stunning design and thrilling driving experience with some top-of-the-range equipment and Union Flag-inspired colour scheme.

Enhancements include a sportier bodykit, an uprated braking system and an optional fixed rear spoiler. Added to this are unique 20-inch alloy wheels with a distinctive Dark Grey satin finish hiding either red or optional black brake calipers.

Step inside the new F-Type and you’ll find British Design Edition badges located on the headrest, door sills and centre console. Further changes see contrasting red, ivory or blue stitching applied to the leather interior as well as sports seats and carbon fibre trim.

Available as either a Coupe or Convertible, the British Design Edition is offered with an appropriately patriotic colour palette – choices include Caldera Red, Glacier White, Ultra Blue and Black.

Apple Watch users can download an InControl Remote App. This can remotely monitor the fuel level, lock and unlock the doors and also start the engine.

Jaguar F-Type specs

The F-Type British Design Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine making 375hp mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It covers 0-60mph in just 4.9 seconds while achieving 31.7mpg.

Jaguar F-Type price and release date

Available to order now, the Coupe will cost £75,225 and the Convertible £80,390 with deliveries to customers expected around the region of spring 2016.
