Toyota has revealed the new entry-level Active and mid-range Sport trims for the Yaris Hybrid supermini – but what do you get?

Toyota has announced two new variants of the Yaris Hybrid. The Active and Sport still get hybrid systems but now form new entry and mid-range points in the lineup.

The Active is now the entry-level model in the Yaris Hybrid range and costs from £14,995 making it the cheapest Toyota Hybrid you can buy. As standard, it comes with climate control, a trip computer, electric front windows and split folding rear seats.

The mid-level Sport costs from £16,695 and features 16-inch alloy wheels and all-round electric windows. Buyers also get a touchscreen infotainment system with DAB radio, Bluetooth and a rear-view camera – making parking in even the trickiest of spaces easier. An optional glass panoramic sunroof is available, priced at £550.

Both models offer excellent fuel economy with the Active managing 85.6mpg and the Sport returning 78.5mpg. Both are road tax exempt and also avoid London’s congestion charge, making them ideal city cars.
