Car changing is a big deal
If you’ve got a growing family and want to make the switch to an EV, the Peugeot E-5008 is a great choice. And current leasing deals make it even more appealing. News editor Jamie Edkins explains why this is a car worthy of your cash.
When I was growing up, seven-seater cars were fairly dull to look at. You had things like the first Vauxhall Zafira and the Volkswagen Sharan – cars which were hugely practical but about as interesting as a kitchen appliance.
And that’s fine if you just want something practical, but if you wanted something which would turn heads and carry seven people, you were a bit stuck. Well, in 2026 this isn’t an issue anymore, thanks to the Peugeot E-5008.
Why do we like the Peugeot E-5008?
Let’s start with the obvious, the Peugeot E-5008 looks wicked. The sleek “lion’s claw” headlights and sharp creases in the bodywork make it look properly sporty, and the interior is just as stylish.

We love the funky fabrics across the dashboard, and the swooping centre console makes the driver feel cocooned. The large screens also look modern, and quality is excellent throughout as well. It feels better-made than some more expensive German alternatives – we’re looking at you, Mercedes EQB.
Out on the road the E-5008 is quiet, comfortable and refined. You get plenty of power from the 231hp electric motor, and you can also choose a dual-motor model with 325hp if you want even more punch.

We’d stick to the lower-powered version though, because it’ll do up to 400 miles on a charge. The quicker model drops to 290 miles.
Peugeot E-5008 leasing prices: there are some great deals out there
The Peugeot E-5008 has been on our minds recently because we’ve seen some great leasing deals. You can get in one of these stylish SUVs for as little as £312 per month at the time of writing*.

This is over three years with an initial payment of £4,040, and with a mileage limit of 5,000 per year. If you need to go further than this, you can up the limit to 8,000 per year for an extra £20 per month.
The model in question is the mid-spec GT with 213hp and 308 miles of range – plenty for most people’s daily driving duties. You also get loads of standard equipment including heated sports seats, ambient lighting, adaptive cruise control and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Things to consider before buying a Peugeot E-5008
The E-5008 is a brilliant electric SUV, but it’s not perfect. Here are a few cons to consider before committing.
Despite having seven seats, there are only two ISOFIX anchor points in this car. If you’ve been blessed with triplets, a Kia EV9 is a better choice. The third row is also pretty tight in the Peugeot, making a Hyundai Santa Fe the go-to for those looking to carry adults in all seats.
We also found the infotainment system to be a bit fiddly to use. The customisable shortcut buttons do help by keeping your most-used functions at your fingertips, but a few more physical buttons would still be appreciated. A Skoda Kodiaq’s technology is easier to operate.
