What happens when we put a luxury petrol-powered SUV against the electric alternative? That’s what we find out in today’s drag?
For the BMW iX, there’s a dual-motor setup developing 523hp and 765Nm. That’s slightly less than offered in the X7, which has a 4.4-litre V8 developing 530hp, but torque is down at 750Nm.
Both have all-wheel drive and weigh around the same at 2,500kg, so it’ll all be down to delivery of power off the line.
Which one will win the battle of the SUVs? Watch the video to find out.
