The entry-level Acenta Premium model is packed with good options. First off, you get 18-inch alloy wheels, dark tinted rear windows for added privacy and a rear-view parking camera to help you into tight spaces. Inside, you get charcoal cloth style upholstered seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and USB wired Android Auto.

You may have the same entry-level 18-inch alloy wheels on the N-Connecta, but you do get a black roof - a subtle change, but it definitely improves the Qashqai’s look. The most handy feature you get has to be the 360-degree surround view parking cameras and they’re displayed through an upgraded 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. You still have wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, but you also get TomTom and Google Maps built into the system. To help take the stress and strain out of long motorway drives, you get adaptive cruise control that maintains a set speed with a safe distance to the car in front.

Upgraded 19-inch alloy wheels and a glass panoramic sunroof - which really does brighten up the cabin - both come as standard on the Tekna. Inside, you have a mix of cloth and synthetic leather upholstered heated front seats and a heated steering wheel - just what you need on cold winter days. Tech-wise, you have a 12.3inch digital driver’s display (instead of old fashioned dials), a head-up display and a wireless charging pad for smartphones. To top it all off, you have Nissan’s ProPilot Park system where the car can literally park itself - cool stuff.

If you want to indulge and get the best of the range, you’ll have to go for the Tekna+. It’s the only model that gets 20-inch alloy wheels, quilted leather seats and a premium Bose sound system with 10 speakers. The front seats have four-way adjustable lumbar support and memory setting so you can preset your ideal driving positions. But best of all, you have a massage function - with three different modes - for the front seats.
