The best new car deals this week

Save over £7,600 on a new Skoda Elroq*

I’d recommend the Skoda Elroq because it takes everything that’s great about the larger Enyaq and turns it into a smaller, more affordable electric SUV. Its clean design gives it a modern yet understated look, and it’s also practical without trying too hard.

Inside, it’s simple, comfortable, and cleverly designed. It also has a spacious cabin, intuitive tech, and hidden storage which makes everyday life easier. And despite its compact size, the 470-litre boot and smart layout keep it family-friendly.

On the road, the Elroq feels calm and refined, soaking up bumps and staying quiet on long drivers. It also gives you up to 355 miles of range and a smooth, relaxing drive.

The Skoda Elroq usually starts at £31,710, but you can get it through Carwow from £27,262. The biggest saving is on the Edition version, with £7,649 off at the time of writing. With this, you get stylish alloy wheels, heated seats and steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, adaptive cruise control and a fabric ambiance for the interior.

Save over £6,900 on a Hyundai Santa Fe*

The Hyundai Santa Fe is great at combining style and practicality. It has a boxy, Star Wars-inspired design, and its bold, futuristic looks even earned it Carwow Car of the Year in 2025.

Inside, the cabin has versatile three-row seating, plush materials, and a massive curved display upfront. Kids fit comfortably in the back, and the boot still has decent space behind them. What’s more is that you get a whopping 17 cupholders. Don’t mind if I do!

While it’s not the fastest SUV out there, driving is smooth and efficient. You also have the option of hybrid or plug-in hybrid, making it more economical. Overall for me, the combination of style, space, and practicality makes the Santa Fe hard to beat.

The Hyundai Santa Fe usually starts at £47,890, but you can get it through Carwow from £42,400. The biggest saving is on the Calligraphy version, with £6,943 off at the time of writing. With this, you get Nappa leather and there’s also a black finish for the exterior trim.

The best used car deals this week

Buy a used Mercedes GLC from less than £26,000*

I’d recommend the Mercedes GLC because it perfectly balances style, space, and sophistication. And with its sleek lines, distinctive lights, and that unmistakable Mercedes badge, it looks effortlessly premium.

Inside it has a sweeping dashboard, large central screen, and supportive seats (with optional massage) that create a cabin that’s both high-tech and comfortable. There’s generous space in the back and a huge boot, even if some materials don’t quite match the price tag.

On the road, the GLC feels strong and composed, especially in plug-in hybrid form, which combines smooth electric running with long-range efficiency. It’s not the softest over bumps, nor the most agile SUV, but for refinement, comfort, and sheer class, the GLC stands out.

A brand-new Mercedes GLC usually starts at £54,450, but you can get a used example through Carwow from less than £26,000. For instance, you can get a 2021 used example for £25,764 with 51,668 miles on the clock. With this, you get a 194hp 2.0-litre diesel engine, heated leather seats, and 550 litres of boot space.

Buy a used Ford Focus from less than £17,000*

The production of the Ford Focus has now come to a close, and I can’t help but feel nostalgic as it was once the peak of the family hatchback. It’s a sleek, practical five-door that’s aged gracefully since 2018, with a subtle 2022 refresh keeping it fresh.

It has a big 13.2-inch touchscreen and intuitive software, though I do miss some traditional buttons. The cabin feels solid, the driving position is excellent, and having Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is really helpful. There’s plenty of rear space and the boot is decent at 391 litres.

Under the bonnet, I’d opt for the 155hp 1.0-litre EcoBoost automatic: it’s quick, efficient, and fun to drive. What really sells me on the Focus is how it handles: sharp steering, sporty yet comfortable, and agile on twisty roads. It’s easy to drive in town, composed on the motorway, and genuinely enjoyable to own.

You used to be able to buy a brand-new Ford Focus from £28,730, but you can now find used examples through Carwow for less than £17,000. For instance, there’s a 2023 model available for £16,180 with 31,433 miles on the clock. That’s a great deal considering it’s only a couple of years old and comes with features such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and heated seats.

The best lease deals this week

Lease a Cupra Leon from less than £240 per month*

The Cupra Leon is the sporty, sharper sibling of the Seat Leon, with a muscular look, bold copper accents, and eye-catching wheels that make it stand out without going over the top. Inside, it’s stylish and spacious, with big bucket seats and a digital cockpit, though I find that some controls take a bit of getting used to.

Under the bonnet, options range from a fun 150hp petrol to the thrilling 300hp VZ model, plus plug-in hybrids with excellent electric range for efficiency without sacrificing style. It’s ultimately a hot hatch that’s just as enjoyable on the daily commute as it is on an open road.

You can lease a Cupra Leon V1 from £238.26 per month (initial payment: £3,159.07) on a 48-month, 5,000-mile-per-year deal through Carwow. This version comes well-equipped with a digital cockpit, a 12.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, sports seats, and a rear-view camera.

Lease a Peugeot 3008 from £270 per month*

I’d recommend the Peugeot 3008 mainly for its standout style and distinctive personality. Its sporty roofline, bold front grille, and full-width rear lights make it unlike anything else on the road, while the driver-focused cabin feels modern and stylish. It’s comfortable up front, surprisingly airy in the back, and the 520-litre boot works for everyday use, even if bulky items can be tricky to fit.

On the road, the 3008 is all about smooth cruising. Its soft suspension absorbs bumps, and the nimble steering makes city driving easy, though the engines aren’t the most refined and hybrids can feel noticeable switching between electric and petrol. But overall, it’s a comfortable, eye-catching SUV oozing with personality.

You can lease a Peugeot 3008 Allure from £272.94 per month (initial payment: £2,806.45) on a 48-month, 5,000-mile-per-year deal through Carwow. This version comes with cruise control, automatic wipers and headlights, plus dual-zone climate, though the star bit of kit is an upgraded 10.0-inch infotainment system. The Safety Plus Pack brings lane keep assist, automatic high beams, and blind-spot monitoring, too.
