MG is hot on Vauxhall’s heels by relaunching a £2,000 scrappage scheme for trade-ins against new MG3 and MG6 cars

MG has announced it will relaunch the scrappage scheme offering customers a huge £2,000 discount on new vehicles if they trade in their old car.

Any old vehicle, roadworthy or rust-bucket, can be turned over to MG who will scrap it and, in return, buyers will receive a huge discount on their choice of a range of MG cars.

Regardless of the condition of your vehicle, the brand will grant you a minimum £2,000 discount off its model range at MG dealers across the country. This offer could result in a very sizeable saving on an MG3, which costs £8,399 for a base model, or an MG6 from £13,995.

MG is hot on the heels of Vauxhall who launched a similar scheme recently. Unfortunately, buyers of new MGs will be unable to take advantage of zero per cent finance or deposit contribution deals if they take the £2,000 scrappage discount.
