Mercedes-Benz B-Class (2014-2018) interior

There’s no getting away from the fact that the inside of the latest Mercedes B-Class is a nice place to be, but then it also costs quite a lot more than mainstream rivals.

Style

The cabin has a suitably upmarket look and feel

Pay the premium, though, and you’ll be rewarded with expensive-looking trims and a dashboard features that mirror more expensive models from further up the Mercedes range. Items such as a standalone infotainment screen (that could have been taken straight from the C-Class saloon) and circular air vents that look similar to those found in the AMG GT supercar.

The soft leather and polished metal inserts in top-spec models look and feel great

Infotainment

The cabin has a suitably upmarket look and feel

Speaking of the infotainment systems, you get a choice of two with the Mercedes B-Class. Standard on all models is the Comand system that comes with Garmin sat-nav on some models and does its job well even if it isn’t the best to look at or the slickest to use in class.

For a hefty sum of around £2,000 you can have the upgraded Comand Online system which comes with a larger, more colourful display and a wealth of connected features such as live traffic alerts and even browsing the internet.
