Dacia Sandero sizes and dimensions guide

The Dacia Sandero has the auspicious title of being the cheapest new car you can buy in the UK today. That’s all well and good, but it needs more than just a low price to worry rivals such as the Ford Ka, VW Up and the Hyundai i10.

To help you decide if the Dacia is up to the job, here’s a comprehensive guide to its sizes and dimensions. If you’re swayed by its outstanding value for money, put the Dacia Sandero in our car configurator to see how much carwow could help you save.

Dacia Sandero exterior

The Dacia Sandero falls into the supermini category, which means it can’t get away with being too small. The good news is that it’s just the kind of size you’d expect a car in this segment to be, even though it costs a lot less than rivals.

Length 4,058mm
Width 1,994mm
Height 1,518mm

Dacia Sandero interior

We’ve become used to relatively small cars having almost unbelievable amounts of interior space, regardless of how diminutive they are on the outside. There’s more good new here then because the Sandero’s cabin has plenty of room even for full size adults in the back, plus room for all their stuff as well.

Front shoulder width 1,387mm
Rear shoulder width 1,393mm
Front elbow room 1,417mm
Rear elbow room 1,1436mm

Dacia Sandero boot space, turning circle and fuel tank capacity

The Sandero is a bit of a star in this area – it offers more boot space than the Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa, and even the Ford Focus that’s in a class above.

The turning circle of 10.7 metres isn’t class-leading by any means, but it’s not the worst either. If you’re looking for a car that’s great in tight spaces, there are better options.

At 50 litres, the Dacia Sandero’s fuel tank is about par for the course. It will get you a long way down the road before you need to fill up again though, especially if you go for the diesel engine.

Boot space 320 litres
Turning circle 10.7 metres
Fuel tank capacity 50 litres

Dacia Sandero weight

The Sandero is quite a bit lighter than the Fiesta, but it depends which model you go for when comparing it to its rivals. You’re not going to get the most high-tech weight saving technology and features at this price point, but the Dacia doesn’t do a bad job of shaving the pounds.

If you want to tow with a Dacia Sandero, the maximum braked trailer weight for all models is 1,100kg.

Lightest 941kg
Heaviest 1,033kg
