Turo accepts all car models up to a fair market value of £100k, are no more than 10 years old, and have fewer than 130,000 miles on the clock.

The vehicle can be registered to an individual or business, and the host must be at least 18 years old.

Cars listed on Turo must meet all legal requirements for their region, have a valid insurance policy, and must not have been previously written off.

Visit Turo’s online help centre for the full vehicle listing requirements in the UK.

There are two vehicle protection plans for hosts in the UK — the 65 plan and 75 plan. Hosts choose a plan for their vehicle when they list their car and can change the plan at any time. Both plans provide up to £20,000,000 in third-party liability insurance offered by Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance, via Turo broker Aon.****

Key handovers vary from host to host. Some meet their guests in person to check them in and hand off the key. Others use a range of keyless solutions such as lockboxes, their car manufacturer’s app, or third party technologies that allow them to unlock their car via an app.

For select vehicles, hosts can upgrade to Turo Go — our remote unlock technology. With Turo Go switched on, your pre-screened guests can check in, self-service-style.

T&C's

*Based on average monthly earnings, including reimbursements for incidentals, from January 2020 to December 2021 for listings with at least 12 completed trips per year with an average approval rating of at least 95% and an average 5-star rating of at least 80%. This figure excludes earnings data from March, April, and November 2020, and January to March 2021, during which time the UK was in national lockdown. Actual earnings may vary.

**Calculator monthly earnings:
The average earnings represent the average Turo earnings among all UK-based hosts with one or more active vehicles, where each such vehicle had at least seven trip days per month, between 10/01/2018 and 12/31/2021. The vehicles have a market value of £5,000 to £75,000 and are model years 2017-2022. For a make-model to be included, there must be at least three ‘active’ months.

***carwow Earnings Match Promotion 2022 Terms

We are offering new hosts an incentive through the end of September 2022. If you qualify, Turo will match your first £200 of Turo earnings.

To qualify, you must:
Create a Turo account and list your car directly from the link provided;
Add a new vehicle listing between 15 June, 2022 and 30 September, 2022 and keep the listing on the Turo platform for a minimum of three months from initial listing date
Complete trips with the newly added vehicle booked to start between June 15, 2022 and 30 September, 2022.
The incentive is limited to peer-to-peer hosts with listings in the UK.

Only the actual host earnings will be considered to calculate the incentive amount. Actual host earnings means only the daily rate amount received by the host for bookings of the listing during the incentive period.
This does not include any Extras fees, reimbursements, additional fees, or Turo fees.

Turo will add the applicable earnings incentive to your account two weeks after the vehicle has been live on Turo for three months if you meet the incentive qualifications outlined above. Turo may add the incentive via your standard earnings payout or request that you enable an alternative mechanism using a third-party payment service provider.

The incentive will be voided if the booking expires or is declined, changed, or cancelled. Limit one incentive per host.
Incentives are:
non-transferable
not for resale
not able to be combined with other offers.

Turo reserves the right to change or limit this incentive in its sole discretion. Usual terms and policies apply. Users with a Turo account that is suspended or closed are not eligible for this incentive. If Turo suspects fraud, tampering, violations of the Turo Terms of Service, or technical errors, we reserve the right to any remedy. Remedy may include denial of the incentive or cancellation of your account or listings. Sometimes Turo provides a translation of the English version of these terms. If we have done so here, and if there are discrepancies in meaning, the English language wording takes precedence.
