Ever wondered what the most popular cars are on carwow? Well, wonder no more, as our clever team has pulled the data together to reveal the 100 most-searched-for cars on our site.

Read on to find out what you’ve all been looking for the best deals on…

  • Volkswagen Tiguan
  • Tesla Model 3
  • Volvo XC40
  • Volkswagen ID4
  • Cupra Formentor
  • Ford Kuga
  • Peugeot 3008
  • Volkswagen Golf R
  • Volkswagen ID3
  • Nissan Qashqai

1. Volkswagen Tiguan

The car you’ve searched for most on carwow is the Volkswagen Tiguan. It’s far from surprising — this is a properly spacious and great to drive SUV. It looks pretty smart in R-Line trim, and is impressively comfortable to spend a lot of time in. Lower trims aren’t quite so attractive, and it’s pricier than alternatives though — if only there was a way to get a great deal on one. Oh, wait…

2. Tesla Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 may be the most sought-after electric car on the market right now, so it’s no shock that it’s the most-searched EV on carwow, and comes in as the second-most searched for of any car. It’s filled to the brim with technology and looks like a UFO with wheels. Granted, it can take some getting used to the buttonless cabin and quality has been iffy over the years, but this sublime range of the Model 3 means it blows alternatives out of the water.

3. Volvo XC40

With sophisticated styling, the Volvo XC40 has instant head-turning appeal. That’s probably had a part to play in it ranking third in the most-searched-for cars on carwow. On top of its smart looks, the XC40 is a properly comfy place to be sat in for hours at a time and there’s loads of room for your passengers too. If you can look past the fiddly infotainment and some iffy trim pieces, you’ll have quite the car on your hands.

4. Volkswagen ID4

Electric SUVs are as common as a cold these days, so it was only a matter of time before one would pop up towards the top-end of the most-searched-for cars on carwow. It’s the Volkswagen ID4 that’s taking the crown of its class though, despite only going on sale early this year. Hop inside the ID4 and you’re met with a modern and well-built cabin, and it’s rather spacious throughout — especially for those in the back. You only have one battery option at the moment, but more are on the way.

5. Cupra Formentor

Seat’s decision to spin off high-performance division Cupra into its own brand seems to have proven popular if interest in its first made-for-them car is to go off. The Cupra Formentor takes fifth place here, with the striking styling no doubt playing a part in that too.

You have a great range of engine options for the Cupra Formentor as well, including a pacy 310hp version and efficiency plug-in hybrid options. Personalisation is pretty limited, but the interior still feels pretty special out of the box.

6. Ford Kuga

There’s a lot to like about the new Ford Kuga — it’s packed to the brim with tech, it’s well priced and it’s good fun to drive — and that’s evident in the amount of you looking at deals through carwow.

Interior quality might not be the best out there and the infotainment is a bit outdated, but you do have the choice of a fantastic plug-in hybrid option with a decent electric range.

7. Peugeot 3008

The new Peugeot 3008 certainly stands out of the road, and there’s no doubt that’s resulting in so many of you searching for offers on this French SUV.

It’s more than just an eye-catching design though — the 3008 has a lot of storage space, a decent-sized boot plus plenty of adjustment for the driver. Visibility isn’t fantastic, so you’ll want to look for a higher-spec car with a 360-degree surround camera for the best views out when parking.

8. Volkswagen Golf R

It’s a testament to just how good the Volkswagen Golf R is that it’s ranked so high on the list of most-searched-for cars on carwow. A new generation of this modern hot hatch icon has just arrived, and it’s better than ever.

When you’re pushing it, the level of performance on offer is staggering but it’s just as good as a quiet and comfortable everyday runaround too. Controls can be a little fiddly to use, but don’t let that put you off.

9. Volkswagen ID3

Looking for an electric Volkswagen but the ID4’s a bit too big? Well, step in the Volkswagen ID3. It uses the same electrical gubbins as the SUV, though less weight and a smaller body size means it’ll go further between charges.

There’s still a lot of space inside too, and it has the same excellent infotainment system. It does feel a little cheap in places, but not so much to spoil an otherwise fantastic electric car.

10. Nissan Qashqai

Rounding out the top 10 most-searched-for cars on carwow is the Nissan Qashqai. Even though a new version has been revealed, interest in the outgoing car is rife — and there might be no better time than now to get a fantastic deal on one.

It is starting to feel its age now, but it’s hard to argue with the value for money on offer for the current Qashqai. You do get clever driver assistance tech, and it’s rather comfortable too.
